I just did a random Gran Turismo eBay search and surprisingly, this was the first "item" that popped up.
Now, I don't know German or anything, but I can pretty much figure this guy is trying to sell an accessable in game car to some poor unsuspecting fool. Not just ANY car though, a STANDARD one too.
Has anyone else seen something like this before?

What makes this even funnier is that the second link has a bid on it. XD

Haha. I didn't even bother clicking into the second one.
There are other cars, surprisingly enough, being auctioned. Also noticed a few Chrome paints too haha!

I feel bad for anyone desperate enough to buy chrome paints or cars for a VIDEO GAME!!!
I understand pre-order bonuses and special editions but this is just ridiculous.

I report items like that when I see them, why should they profit from sony's hard work. Plus someone reported me a few years back for selling a world of warcraft account, what goes around comes around lol.

That's not exactly a case of "what goes around comes around". To really apply to that philosophy, you'd basically be reporting an auction belonging to someone who previously reported yours, but I'm willing to bet you're just reporting someone totally different. If that's the case, it never came back around to the guy who did it to you first. If Fred keys your car (real life) and then someone else later keys Fred's car, that would be a better fit to "what goes around comes around".

Thats nothing dude. I've seen on eBay:

People selling access to 6 borrowed cars

People golding X2010 for you

45 mins of GT5 Coaching advice through a headset

I even saw someone who would grind you to level 40 if you sent him your PS3. I'm not joking about any of this I've been selling on eBay since 2004.

 Epic Fail to the ones that are stupid enough to buy that :dunce:
...Let me see...I have ~1000 cars...for 1€ or 2€ each...1000 or 2000 euros
Cool business bro!

You knnow... he could juust buy it from the UCD like the rest of us.. the funniest part to me iss that these are two standard model hondas..

thats why we have a trading limit now... people that tried to do this

could you imagine how much of a cash cow a 1969 GT40 would be with real money like that? No wonder Kaz shut the door on it.. now that i see this, my resentment of the trade cap just went out the window

I want to know how the hell is he going to deliver if the the PSN is down for another month or two.

They come with free shipping!!!!

and i'm pretty sure it's against PSN or GT5 online rules

but it did remind me of something I saw frequently a couple of years back, when the latest supra's prices where at their peak (thanks F&F for that).

3-4 times a year, we would get a new guy on our forum (www.supraquebec.com) asking if "that" auction on ebay was a good deal. It was always the same couple of cars being sold for 5000 USD (one of them was hulk hogan's one, or maybe his son's). There was always some condition on the sale, the owner being transfered oversees adn not being able to show the car... It was an intense period of fraud for cars on ebay and...

funny stuff, when we told the new guy it was a fake and he'd get ripped off, they always came back a couple days later with a similar deal...

or maybe some of you remember the "complete PS3 60GB boxes" being sold? boxes only for a couple hundreds?

shame!

If you guys find this amusing you should have seen eBay in December.

1969 GT40's were selling for as much as $35. After the auction, the seller would dupe it & sell it again. Then there was X2010's and even Jag chromelines going for over $20. It was ridiculous...

It is illegal and eBay killed a lot of it prior to PD's patch. But you still occasionaly see one pop up with bids

I saw an entire collection of X1's (as it was called back in the day now X2010 for those of you that are too young to remember) go for $135...
I'm not even sure what I should say about that one.

:banghead: Unbelievable. You would think that someone would do a google search to see what they were actually worth (remember people trading X1's for minis etc.) I feel very sorry for this guy who thought he was getting the deal of the century. Oh and FYI...
Chevrolet Camaro SS Edge Gran Turismo 5 GT5 Ps3 DLC
GT5 car game info.tips. 6 free borrow car #1
GT5 car game info.tips. 6 free borrow car #2
GT5 car game info. one free Gold Chrome Paint or matte

People taking advantage of the ignorance of others. I hate people like that

This happens all the time, it's been going on since the release of the game. I've seen a Minolta go for $20 on eBay before.
