Have just bought a 1/10th electric r/c Ford Focus RS WRC 03. However, it includes just the chassis, motor, body and wheels!! I'm just wondering what I needed to get it running and I don't want to spend more than £25-£30!! Can anyone help me out??

Thanks in advance,
Matt

You'll need a speed controller and servos...I'm not sure how good of things you can get for only £30's.

Thanks Joey!! Being only 14, I do have a limited budget, so I don't mind second-hand either!! Budget is so low because I want to buy a few more bodies and maybe a few hop-up parts (faster motor, better driveshaft, drift wheels etc.)

According to what i can find on the model you have, you'll require:

• A 2-channel Radio (controller) with 2 standard servos.
• A 6-cell flat pack battery with a standard connector.
• A charger for the 6-cell battery

I think the speed-contoller that Joey mentions might already be part of your kit.

http://www.anticsonline.co.uk/1485_1_11355.html - £35 For a controller and 2 servos.

A battery and charger will likely be £16-30.

Ebay might be a good bet if you need cheaper. I'd personally prefere to buy a secondhand controller and servos and a brand new battery. Even rechargable batteries have a certain shelf life.

Your best bet is to look on eBay then, but if you have a local hobby shop they should help you out.

I can highly recommend the "Ripmax Xtra No Limit Speed Controller" the best I have ever used, it was very reliable and well worth the price of it.

Good luck with your car they are so much fun once you get all the correct stuff. Just try to find a racing club or something so you can really stretch your car's legs.

If you need to get a speed controller make sure it has reverse or you'll be constantly having to run out at the track and fix your car. I made that mistake the first time.
