We live in different countries (in case you haven't noticed), you long-signatured Aussie.

I still want my $200 - and strangely, it hasn't come since I posted this thread forty minutes ago.

So you don't have the initiative to scroll down that extra half-inch past my signature to the next post?? IT'S HALF AN INCH, BOY, YOU'LL GET OVER IT!!

Damn taxes. I(well, my parents did it for me) had to pay money for taxes. I don't work, don't have a car, don't really have an income(other than doing stuff around the house, and money I find), and I had to pay like $60 something. Do I get $200? Do I get to see any part of the $200 or $400...hell no.

I'm just gonna stop paying.

My bro got $132 back(he doesn't currently work, but he does own 3 cars...), and my parents got like well over $1K back. I, got $0.

Sure, we have the initiative. It's just that the scroll wheel on my mouse is wearing out from having to do it so damn often.

Considering that Jordan's Signature Guidelines (see the link in the sig of any one of his posts) limit signatures to six lines of regular text, there are a large number of people here who should really consider how much screen space they're wasting, and for so little reason.

Popular outcry and a number of moderator PM's aren't enough for you? Are you waiting for a personal request from Jordan himself?

Yeah. That signature is certainly one of the most obnoxious of all. And it's worth noting that calling them "signatures" is a total misnomer. They are really announcement/self promotion boards, in many cases. Get your own website if you have so much important stuff to say.

I'm waiting to see. I've heard the number $600 tossed around for us; we're married and have two kids, filing jointly. But I heard they were aiming to reduce the "marriage penalty".

Have you noticed that the Democrats are still somehow saying that this tax cut mostly benefits Bush's rich friends? As If. $400 means less than nothing to a rich person, but it means a hell of a lot to a poor person. Get over it already.

Besides, I've done my consumerist best to revive the economy lately. The only way I could spend more money at the moment would be to buy a car I don't need, and $600 ain't gonna do that.

I have a kid, but don't get any money for it because he wasn't born until March.

Damn, I was all set to go and have a kid right now to get an extra $200. Then I could buy two VCR's.

Money means something very different for you than it does for me.

Why, what are you going to do with your money? Buy pants, or something? You're supposed to spend it, not save it, in an effort to jumpstart the economy. That's Bush's grand plan - trust people to buy things.

Which is the same thing, it's just that you've already done your bit to jump start the economy.
