Has any body else noticed that the new ZR-1 has
Z06 engine specs? 505hp instead of 638, and
7.0 liters instead of 6.2! Are the boys at ATARI really that incompetent? Any google search would give you correct specifications, so why did
they make such an amateur blunder?

Thoughts?

BTW, if you haven't bought it, its a blast to drive, sounds right (even the supercharger whine) and looks great. By far my new favorite car, although I've yet to drive the new ACR Viper.

I honestly have no clue what tdu people were thinking when they did that i noticed it immediately and was dumbfounded. Really shows where their priorities are when they cant get the right engine in their car but they can make thousands of miles of roads. -__-

Yep. As a long-time TDU2 player and forum member, I can say that Atari are really that incompetent. The Corvette ZR1 seems to be a hybrid of the ZR1 body, interior and sound with the specs and class of a Z06.

...Or maybe it's a special TDU2 edition Corvette that GM made to be at the top of the A2 class instead of at the bottom of the A1 class...

Yeah if only you could marry the meticulous detail and driving feel of gran turismo with the open world of tdu2. :(

I've still got my fingers crossed for Forza Horizon, but I'm not buying it until extensive testing has been completed.

Kinda surprised to see this thread pop up, I posted it in march and received zero replies, now we have a half dozen in a week. Lol. Gotta love the internet, all our stupidity collected in one convenient place for the world to see, forever.

Yeah ill see about that but i dont even have an xbox 360 so forza is currently out of the question lol.

Well if I had to choose between PS3 and XBOX 360, I'd take the playstation everyday of the week; however, Turn 10 really nailed it on Forza 4.
My review is such: PS3>Xbox 360. GT5<Forza 4
So yeah, keep praying that spec. 3.0 is rocking. (And GT6!)

I've just pre-ordered Horizon. I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy it as racing/cruising in an open world that's not in a city environment is something I've always wanted and something I hope we see more of.

TDU2 ain't perfect, but so are a bunch of games I've played. It reminds me of how in NFS Underground they got the wrong engine in the Toyota Celica GTS (1ZZFE from the GT instead of the 2ZZGE in the GTS).

On top of the bad ZR1 specs, they don't even know what a Mustang GT looks like! I mean really, ONE tiny exhaust outlet!? :grumpy:

Sometimes I think they just don't really care how cars look or sound...

They should really take the time to look into these things...I'm curious to know what they're actually working on.

Hopefully TDU3! I really hope they do it right, Forza Horizon screwed it up to me because its not truly open world, your penned in by guard rails and fences and such; it's a step in the right direction but its still too confining (and small IMO).
Oh, and Atari, go back to the TDU1 physics. If you could update TDU2 with those physics, I'd forgive everything else!
