Take some time to head over to TDU Drive Time...It is used by the most active members of the old TDU2 forums, myself included. Who knows when Atari will come around to getting the forums back up...?(Rhetorical question) Anyway, head on over for all things TDU2 ;)
 
Hmm... Sorry to but in, but I have my suspicions that this merging the TDU2 forums with the Atari forums was just an excuse to shut them down completely...

That's one of the theories...but let's not jump to conclusions just yet. The site was being strange the other day and not displaying the usual message. If it ever does return, it certainly won't be what it once was :(
