I'm gonna get TDU2, seeing as the original was brilliant and I will enjoy cruising on Ibiza a lot more than playing NFS...

Personally, go for TDU2 if you want a game that is great online and will last you ages. If you enjoy free roaming games then this is one of the best.

Buy Shift 2 if you want a game purely for racing.

both are racing, so they're similar. :)

Yeah, but so is GT5. But NFS is an Arcade Sim Racer and the others an MMORPG Racer. Two completely different games. Like comparing Forza to GT. Same difference, only GT is an RPG racer.

RPG racer. I think you've invented a new genre lol.

Nah. RPG racers are pretty old. Just that there haven't been very many good ones.

But, I'll get TDU2 over Shift 2. And Bulletstorm will be drag down Shift 2 sales as well if it's as good as it looks.

TDU2. Its going to be amazing if TDU is anything to go buy, I would be tempted by NFS but, I have GT5 so I have all the circuit racing that I need. Other than Dirt 3 I can't think of any other games to complete my racing addiction to games..

TDU2 it looks amazing.
The free roam and the very long game play you get with sandbox games are enough to warent buying it then you have extensive multiplayer features. Need I say more?

Let's see...the 100-200hour game or the 20-70hour game....mmm...And TDU2 is $50. and Shift 2 is $60. I'll take the longer, cheaper game please. :P

I'll take shift. I know there's a worry on the physics but they will be better than TDU.
Driving TDU with a wheel looks awful. Massive deadzone and not much fun for me.

I can understand TDU's appeal however. It's not all about driving, it's a living the life thing.

Anyway good time for car fans.

Leaderboards and autolog for starters
- Interiors on all cars
- Night racing on all tracks
- Non-braindead AI
- Non-lifeless tracks
- Cars that don't sound like vacuum cleaners

And I can probably think of many more reasons why you should get Shift 2 (and still keep playing GT5 of course ;)).

On-topic: get them both. :)

Yeh buy both but personaly I think NFS went down hill when it abandoned the tuner culture.

Will be getting both. Hope the physics are improved on shift 2, couldn't use the wheel at all with the first one. It was too arcadey.

Shift 2 interests me more than TDU2, but I'll more than likely be picking them both up.

Personaly I will get TDU2 and not shift but after hearing the arguments for shift I came to the conclusion they are trying to achieve different goals. And thus are not comparable.

Don't really see the need for Shift. I have enough games based on GT racing. Test Drive is different though. Not only is it two massive islands, but its real supercars in real environments and they aren't plastic built ones like in the old NFS. The physics probably won't be that crash hot but I see alot of funning coming from it.

Both games are looking awesome, but they're both fairly different styles of games.

Never played a Test Drive game, but from what I've seen of TDU1 and 2, it looks kinda like a Burnout Paradise type game but with more depth and content.

Shift 2 on the other hand is basically a sim, along the lines of GT and Forza. Less depth and class than GT and even Forza, but still looks very cool. And if you're a PC gamer, it's about the closest thing to a GT or Forza for PC that I can think of.

I'm personally planning on getting both. They look fantastic.

TDU.
The first one was amazing. Now when Eden added day/night cycle, weather changes it will probably be even better.
