Teacher's stolen '96 Accord found "drag race ready" ....Wow

Yes, the article is hilariously incorrect in certain aspects.
Engine is a Inline 4, not a V8
Wheels/rims, not hubcaps
And they certainly don't look oversized

But that's just my pickyness talking.

JCE: it was a woman's car, not a dude's.

JCE
The dude's car was stolen, there is nothing funny about that.

Did you even bother reading it a little bit more?

+1. Sorry JCE, but this is actually a good ending story.

Chick has car stolen in 2006.
Thinks it's been stripped.
Cops bust a chop shop and find her car and give it back to her!
Supposed to have V8 now, but pic shows VTEC 4 cyl.
Sitting in her driveway and everyone wants to buy it, but she has to get a new VIN #.

I'm just confused as to what being Jewish has to do with an inability to drive stick shifts?

:p

Most of the Jewish folks I know have had no trouble with them at all!

Lol.. this is why you can't have a "trashy" looking Honda in NY. They WILL take it, or atleast break into it. :sly:

Atleast she has an excuse if she does a bad shift
"It was the damn cross in the back, it made me go for 4th and not 2nd!"

The thing that annoys me about this, is that to the original owner it would have just been some crummy crap-box for her to get around in, she wouldn't have loved the car at all, yet to the poor bugger who bought it off the people who stole it (unless he was aware it was stolen) he's just spent all this money on the new love of his life only to have it taken away 3 years after getting it. The teacher would no doubt have gotten a new car since as well.

I didn't know everybody in the neighborhood wanted what looks like a stock '96 Accord with a (H series?) swap.

It was found in a chop shop so I would say they knew it was stolen. Not to mention the fact they wouldn't have the title either.

Why not?? You could drive it as a sleeper.

If its a sleeper nobody should know its not just a stuck Accord!

I think the writer of this should be taken in for the next The Fast and the Furious movie.

This must have been a car from an episode of "Overhaulin" they forgot to complete...

Adding to that, if you have the mechanical knowledge to change an automatic to a manual, surely you'd notice the lack of VIN plate?
