TEAM ENDURANCE RACING: Is it Possible?

I am wondering about the feasibility of having a team endurance race. Example: 2-4 online friends race on the same team(one car) for a four hour(or 24 hour) endurance race. Every time the car pits the team has the option to change drivers, if so they get in and off they go. Just like in a real life 24 hour endurance, your team must factor in sleep, fatigue, and other breaks. Using head sets to talk to each other, it could be like having crew chiefs watching and aiding in the race. During a 24 hour marathon match you could go to work, the store, and the bathroom, come back and take over for a while, watch others, and have a great time. This could develop into racing teams, club vs club matches, ect.

I did some light searching and couldn't find a post dedicated to this...if I am jumping the gun I apologize.

No, it seems you are safe to this, though the title is a bit misleading, at least to me. I thought you were recruiting for some Online racing team, but this would be quite the cool feature. This was actually only possible in GT5 where I invited 3 mates over and we did 6 hours shifts each on the Nurb' but an online feature could be possible. Quite an awesome feature though in reality, that won't be implemented most likely, but we will see once the community feature comes out.

Awesome really, I fully support this. Though messing about while one mates racing would be quite funny. "So john, I'm approaching the chicane now, turning in" "Steve! I'm on the toilet mate, stop talking about chicanes, it isn't my turn for another 2 hours!".

Changed the title.

I too did this for GT3 with two buds, well one really the other guy stunk it up and we would drink heavily throughout the night. I'd come to with the room spinning and have to go 20-40 laps around tokyo. good times.
