I had an idea that I think would make for some great racing. It's a competition idea, but it should be in this thread because it's talking about teams.

What if, we got together 5 of the best GT forums and had 3 huge LAN competitions in the US, the UK, and Australia? Here's how I view it:

Each competition would be comprised of 5 teams of the best online GT forums, including our forum, GTP. Each team would consist of 5 members from that forum that had the best lap times in that forum's qualifying session (held by that forum privately). Each forum would have a US, UK, and Australian team. Each team would go to its respective locations, as close to the middle of the members in the teams' locations as possible. The teams would hold a LAN competition in their respective countries, after the format of the meets was decided. The teams that won would then fly in (if possible) to a select location and hold the final round. If, by chance, all the finalist teams are from the same forums, the best team would be decided.
Awards such as best overall individual performer, best UK performer, best US performer, best Australian performer, best US team, best UK team, best Australian team, best overall team and best overall forum would be presented at the final ceremony.
We could hold this competition every year, to vie for supremacy as the best GT forum performance-wise.

That's my idea. What do you think?

:-)

So, that'll be something like the Boards Challenge then? The next one will be the 7th one.

Yes, like that, but I think this would be a bit bigger, as I didn't know what the Board Challenge was until now. With this, it would be a big event looked forward to.

:-)

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, I didn't know that.

:-)

Sounds like too much travelling expense to me for a game that is on its way out in less than a year and will be replaced with an improved version that we can simply hold the exact same scenario online from the comfort of our front rooms and with no expense!

I personally would only take part in a travelling to multiple events competition if big money was on the table :sly: .. The odd LAN is fine dont get me wrong 👍

My thoughts exactly. Although you and Holl01 are likely to walk with any cash. :indiff:

Not one to be a party pooper but the BCs are enough for most people.
