Technical account related question

Hey guys, I´m new to this forum even though GT Planet has been a resource for me for over a decade.

I hope I follow all rules.

I recently gave my physical copy of GT Sport to my brother and bought it again for myself digital (it´s all I play anyway)

To my surprise I had to re-download the game, but my account in game was still intact. Fine.

It does seem to have confused both apps I use and my profile on www.gran-turismo.com though because those don´t update for me anymore.

They are stuck somehow and and don´t seem to fully connect to my digital copy.

I can´t get current stats nor can I see the photos I take with the digital version.

Is that a known issue? Is there a fix?
 
Have you tried uninstalling both copies of the game from your PS4 and then re-downloading the digital version?

I haven't done this with GT Sport, but did migrate from physical to digital with GTA V and that didn't have a problem at all - however I did fully uninstall my physical installation before downloading the digital one.

And it makes perfect sense that it would need to re-download, as the disc based versions still run ~30% of the content from the disc itself.
 
I did. And that was quite a challenge as well.

The digital game did not show up in my library and did not download automatically even though I uninstalled the Disc version.

I had to log into my PSN account from my Mac at work and trigger the download from there through my purchase history.
 
I switched from the disk to digital a couple of months ago and haven't had a problem with it updating so it isn't a widespread problem.

Sounds weird the game isn't in your download list though. I'm clutching at straws here but is your console and all the apps on it fully updated?
 
Hey guys, thanks for the replies.

I figured it out over the weekend.

Deleted GT again, emptied my console cache, downloaded GT again and now everything works!
