I have had my Logitech G27 since Wednesday, and I've been loving it. I've been racing all kinds of games on it. But now, I'm having a serious problem. It won't start. I've been restarting my laptop, switching USB holes, trying it on my PS3, uplugging everything and the inserting everything again...

My thoughts are, I've been restarting it a lot. I've been paranoid because of my last wheel. Where ever I turned that wheel on, that would be it's center. So if I turned my G27 on away from the center (I.E. slight bit to the right) I'd unplug it from the USB and insert again. I have done that a few times now, and today it wouldn't work after that. And, well, I moved it around yesterday where the power cable kept falling out which it roughly the same thing. So I do all the things, touch if my wheel is very warm, no it isn't. Touch my power adapter, and that's very hot. I think that may have burned out, but I'm not sure. It doesn't smell burnt and it hasn't exploded ( :P ), so that leaves me in the unknown. All I get on the shifter/console is the dim green light, so that means the USB works. I can't remember if I'd get a dim green light if only the power cable was in. But I want the full green light! It doesn't calibrate, no nothing.

Has anyone experienced this before? I've attached some pictures of the light and the wires connected to the wheel so anyone could see if it was just a problem with me not attaching the wires properly. But I have tried forcing the wires in.

That shifter/console is the dim green light that show it is working right to your PS3, If it does not calibrate while your PS3 is on you have some sort of power problem. Power adapter do get warm try changing it into another wall socket and see what happens.

I tried that just today, and it didn't work. But just incase, I have found several power adapters on Amazon with the help of Google, if it comes to that.

There is a lot of power adapters on Google why don't you buy one now. As you said the power adapter gets very hot which is bad that might be your problem. Is your G27 a new one or a used one.

Your cords/wires are not running on "secured" way, they should go around that center piece and out thru that rail on front. thats why falling out cords.
Power Unit/adapter will get warm, but not hot, there is more like problem on it.
Light is dim if there is not sufficient power on wheel, like broken power supply unit (PSU).

Few power cord drops out from wheel with a spark/shortcircuit might kill PSU if lucky, unlucky and whole wheel PCB will say bye bye.
Test with new/different PSU.

(loose cord inside H-shifter is one "normal" problem, causes same problem, without hot PSU, should check if cord is loose on PCB of H-shifter - you need to open few screws)

It's as new as it can get.

So I just have to unscrew the screws around the stick? Or the underside?

As dj-smurph said you should have return it to your retailer were you got if there was a problem with your G27. Just remember if something brand new and your not happy with it just return it.
