technical question

I was wondering if its possible to open a new account on my ps3 and copy my saved game data from my exsisting account. gt5 platinum status. My main reason for doing this is that i want to change my online id or name to something more motor racing affiliated. If it can be done please let me know. Thanks fellow drivers
