It doesn't surprise me when I hear about a teen going that fast, I did it myself at that age. What surprises me is the fact that the police are that retarded and let him go with nothing more then a warning after a lame ass excuse like that. :odd:

Actually, that's not true.

"Brandon D. Raap, 16, faces speeding and misdemeanor reckless driving charges and could have his license suspended, police said."

The cars you usually see going really fast are typically STis or M3s. The fastest drivers are us teens, 16 year-olds are probably the worst. Combine the two and why am I not suprised. We seriously need to consider an autobahn for the rural areas here in the US. After all, the German autobahn is typically safer than the average US hiway. Of course, this could be because of the drivers...

It's also because you won't see people that young on it that much either.
from what I remember, it was about the equivilent of 2000 US dollars for a permit to drive the autobahn........each renewal..............

Sorry, I guess I was wrapped up in the "go home and call me later" sentence and missed that. Still though, it shouldn't be a matter of "could have" it should be "will lose his license" for doing something like that with no valid reason.

its good that there will be punishment but i don't understand why the cop didn't
drive his sorry ass home in cuffs, him being able to go home and say i got pulled over for speeding is just not the same as an officer knocking on the door and saying, your son was pulled over doing many times the legal limit and will probably lose his license, even if the parents will find out that will happen later.
btw 140mph sounds right for a wrx as my friends 2.5 cant crack 115 because of aerodynamics, the wrx has the same aerodynamics with more power so it should only be marginally faster
