I think the corvette C5-R is the most non-American American car in the game, i mean it has the most japanese engine ever, it sounds like one, its got no torque down low, my 994 hp Team Oreca smokes my 1032 hp C5-R in the 400m and everything else, not to mention the Corvette looks Japanese.
I mean i dont hate the car, but Chevy could stand to make it a little more American,
Who here thinks the mustang and the GT40 are the most american cars in the game?

Ok, I don't see the car as looking Japanese. And low end torque is not the only factor behind 400m times. Gearing and tires affect it. The viper probably has larger rear tires, which may be a factor in the game not specified. I believe the real versions do have different size tires. Perhaps they are balanced in GT racing, though.

Not sure about the engine, but I know some japanese car fans would be mad as hell if an old pushrod v8, or modernized one, was ever associated with the their efficient 4 cys, dohc

It seems rather silly to say that American cars can only be torque-happy low-revving big-blocked brutes. That's like saying American racing series must all follow NASCAR specs.

And if we're going on looks, then I say that the GTS-R Concept looks like an overgrown S2000. :p

I know really, i guess they dont like power with real steel, but with compressed air, which i dont have a problem with :D Im jus sayin it has some characterisitcs of a turboed engine, but acctually i did do a little experiment where i put the ratios exactly the same and all the exact same settings with same tires but the lower powered Viper beat it by nearly a second, and still has better handling.

It's one of those subliminal messages to you Americans that when it comes to the future, the Japanese are ALWAYS ahead of our time. You guys are very fortunate that Polyphony did put American cars in the game to expand their global market. Otherwise, you wouldn't sit in your couch playing GT3.

Please tell me you are not another European so utterly misguided by local commentary on us, and that I am misunderstanding you. Sure American want more US cars, but I think the Skyline has a very large following among US players. I suspect it surpasses the Viper.

If I am misunderstanding you, I apologize.

I am not a huge Skyline guy myself. Mostly because I think too much of 4 wheel drive. I prefer racing with rear wheel drive.

smae here talentless... i like mr like my f1 cars, but fr is fun also... i mostly hate ff just cause i hate it nothing more than that... i sold all my ff cars even though i didn't finish all the series you need them for
