Thanks to Nightwing24's post below, I now see that what I did even though done in good faith could have been seen as harassment to the others players. I never took into account they may not of been trying to be malicous, but kind in their actions. Due to this I have accepted that I do indeed deserve the suspension and will do everything in my power in the future to see the good in their actions. I have removed all of my post as to not offend anyone else that may see them going forward and I want Thank You all of you for your feedback.

It's very unlikely they will listen. You can't appeal these temporary bans and from my own experience support simply say it's a different team that process these, you can't speak to them, sorry.

That's that.

If you do want to go ahead and try anyway I would go the email route so you can include all of the above rather than trying to explain it to a phone operative with a call length target and script to read from, you'll likely still get the default responses, mind but there's a better chance it will get read.

Then could you kindly let me know do you think I'm in the wrong for what I did and do I really deserve this suspension.
I'm just curious... how do you believe your post assists anyone to answer that?

Nobody here can say whether you "deserved" the suspension or not, but the fact you got one suggests that you do. Despite the lengthy explanation of... several things, there's no actual reference to what it is you said/did - not even something you suspect might be the cause - which makes it incredibly difficult to respond.

You seem to be suggesting that you used terms that could be classified as hate speech, but your defence is you were explaining to someone else that what they were saying was hate speech. The bad news for you here is:

There are no exceptions for using hateful language or slurs in any form on PSN, even if the context is lighthearted, non-serious, or used as reappropriation.

In addition, PlayStation's moderation team does place messages in context by assessing all messages within a conversation (normally to check for provocation), which is something you seem to be suggesting they don't do with your fish example.

Ultimately, we're not PlayStation's moderation team and can't say what got you suspended and why, but if you know that you used terms that can be classed as hate speech then - given the clause above that there are "no exceptions for using hateful language or slurs in any form" - you surely cannot be surprised or have any objections.

Maybe there are better places to educate people on what you find offensive, instead of within the context of what is probably a well meaning car livery within a computer game.

There is a report offensive livery option - and after you have done that it is up to the admins of that system to decide if is truly offensive, not you.

Lots of uses of "many" and "some" leading me to think that the symbol is not offensive to "All" and is probably well meaning by nature.

Umm... okay, but showing us what wasn't deleted doesn't really cover what was in the thing that was and why you got the suspension. But to reiterate:

PlayStation Code of Conduct

I'm not really sure why making your case so extensively to us will help.

You should argue against the organization utilizing it, never against a person supporting the organization.

The individuals using it are more than likely doing so in good faith.

Just the same that they can be doing so in good faith but still offending you, your taking it with them directly can be considered harassment even though you are doing so in good faith and not trying to harass anyone.

Sorry this happened to you

I have two comments.

1) Instead of saying "Fish are able to fly", I would have said "Some fish are able to fly". The clarification provided by the following sentence doesn't make the previous sentence correct, the first sentence should be written to be correct in its own right.

2) I have seen many examples of things that a community deems offensive where I am completely unable to see any inherent difference between the thing they deem offensive and the thing that they prefer. To me, they often have absolutely identical inherent meanings and differ only because of how they have chosen to interpret the two things. In your example of a jigsaw puzzle piece, I had always seen this as representing an unusually high ability to solve problems, being able to see things that most people can't, i.e. good at putting the pieces together.

How the hell is the "well known leaf symbol" in any way offensive?
The "will known leaf symbol" marijuana... is from the drug culture and us considered offensive, just like the capitalized letters "F O" are offensive and awarded me a warning from SONY/ PLAYSTATION.

If you need ~3000 words and 4 videos here to justify something that you have previously tried to explain in 160 character snippets, then maybe the PSN system is not the medium to fight your battle. And as Famine has said, you still haven't posted what DID get deleted. Of course the non-deleted stuff is not against guidelines, hence it has not been deleted.

I'm so confused. People get offended by GT7 liveries now?

People who made Forza or MS were banning people for all kinds of custom liveries with Horizon 5, some of which weren't remotely offensive, but there seemed no way of those people getting their accounts reinstated

To be honest I'm not offended by liveries but what's the thinking behind things like Fake taxi, PH, OF and Hooters etc liveries.

And I mean that genuinely.

Just different senses of humour or people trying to be 'edgy' imo. Plus you;ll get a large demographic of 'goofy' types, due to it being an online video game...

Played by adults and children....

I'm all for edgy humour but let's be honest most of us don't have our children actively listen to Frankie Boyle or Chris Rock....they are edgy and alternative and very funny but...

I just find it a weird edginess to take a stance on and "show their personalities" but as I said I'm not offended I just find it very counter intuitive if you love cars and racing and are respectful. But if it's in the game it's in the game 🤷

Probably the same thinking behind liveries for Marlboro, Camel, Jack Daniels, Johnnie Walker, Playboy etc. Any company or brand thats products can be considered controversial in some way (or many ways) will garner attention.

As the song goes "acceptable in the 80s"

It's not a hill I want to die on and I do understand kids/adultids will do this stuff.

It's just me getting older and finding a bit crass. I mean if I owned those companies I'd love the controversy but I don't I race online with probably the same 300 people on rotation....

Yes, although examples you gave in the post I quoted to I must admit to not having a clue what they mean myself tbh (PH, OF... ), never mind younger kids. I've heard of Hooters, but is it really that bad in the scheme of things? Are they going to have a clue what fake taxi is (assuming it doesn;t have some sexually explicit picture attached to the livery...) ? Theres a solid chance that if they've heard of those things or know what they mean, they've probably come across it with friends or at school anyway...

As someone who has a wide selection of OnlyFans, Playboy, and Hustler liveries for all my Ferrari in game…

…the why is simple: spite

I’d love to buy a real one in real life used in the USA without a terms of use contract and have it wrapped the same to just to piss off Ferrari and have them try to sue me to change it… but that money will always be better invested in a Lamborghini

Hey like I said not a hill I'm going to die on but it's crass in motorsport we are talking onlyfans and pornhub and fake taxi is porn producer

I have zero issues with any of those sites but I do have an opinion that it's poor taste.

But it's not a massive deal in the scheme of things.

I'll let my 10 year olds daughters friends know that when they come round and want to race and see it and ask the questions.

I'll tell them it's first world problems :)

I'm not entirely convinced. For instance, the other week some rando was being a right royal PITA in a public lobby comprised largely of regulars who play together most nights; punted me twice, caught back up again and watched him punt someone else. I'd seen enough so sent him to play in the kitty litter to which he/she/they responded in the chat with "pig" and left the room. That was it, there was no other interaction before either. I reported it as "racial, ethnic or religious harassment" and the report came back as successful. Additionally, I run all my (race) cars with a Pride flag, someone randomly "@" me in chat with "gay car". Again, no other chat interaction. I reported it as "Gender or sexual orientation harassment" and it too was successful.

It seems to me that, sometime in the last 12 months, Sony have shifted to coming down hard on absolutely any term which can be used pejoratively regardless of any (or even no) context.

Honestly I've taken a real hard look at myself and 2 PSN warnings I've come to the conclusion that most logical people do...move on to the next race and ignore it.

It makes no material difference in the moment or after the fact.

Sucks at the time but you get to go again instantly or on another day. By then it's history.

Having been fortunate (sic) to race with meme drivers you realise quite quickly it's futile to rage or expect PD to do anything meaningful.
