He puts himself at risk of having that car confiscated by advertizing it. Unless he has paperwork to prove it's legit.

That ad worries me, a couple small problems?
18,000 sounds a bit much, too bad it isin't the GT-R.

And the SRT-10 Ram would be fun if you could find one and afford the gas.

First of all, I'm astounded by all of the responses to my first thread. Apparently it struck a nerve with many of you as it did with me. Thank you all.

Secondly, I'd like to respond to a few posts:

@Daan: 1) The Mazda does appear to be laughing at the Nissan, and 2) That 90-95 Cosmo just might be the coolest car that I've never heard of. I'd love one of those triple-rotors for my '89 RX-7. I don't think they sold that car here in the States.

@Gil and Famine: I only saw that TR-7 once, very briefly, but by all accounts it was garaged for a significant portion of it's life and it looked and sounded pretty good. There is an MG/Triumph garage nearby that's been in business as long as I can remember (I'm 44, by the way), so expertise wouldn't have been an issue, but parts probably would have been extremely expensive, if available at all. It's likely for the best that she didn't get involved, but I know how much she's loved those things ever since we were kids, so I was kind of bummed for her when she called it off.

And as far as the '93 R33 GTS25T...

Is that one of those things where it would have to be modified to American standards?
I've never seen a Skyline before.

Yes, and most of them were imported illegally after the Fast and Furious movies started coming out. Now the Government is finding them and confiscating them.

 If it hadn't been for the Gran Turismo Series, the first Fast and the Furious movie would have been the first time I'd ever laid eyes on a Skyline (Fellowship of the Ring was sold out... true story).

Personally, I thought Fast and the Furious was better the first time around.... when it was called Point Break. That's some good Swayze right there.:sly:

I wouldn't want one specifically because of it's horrible mileage.

10mpg US combined. 👎

I wonder what the mpg would be like after you did the proper thing and turbo'd it.

Although it would be fun to do 150mph in a truck.

Kind of saddened by the fact I could have looked closer into this Merkur Xr4ti that I found on craigslist once. It was $500...

Speaking of R33 Skylines. I saw this one last year on campus:

As far as know, it's only the GT-Rs as they don't have some part in them or whatever to meet the safety standards.

GTPorsche

Actually it was when MOTOREX went out of business due to the government cracking down on them. (AFAIK)

Ah, then we are contemporaries. You are but 4 years younger than I.
You are also right up the road.
As for the Skyline: I was driving to Raytown, MO (a Kansas City suburb) when I was passed by an R-32 Skyline.
I figure if they have made it this far inland, getting one is just a matter of perseverance.

Oh, and as far as the MG/Triumph garage. I STILL have a soft spot in my heart for the steel bumper MGB. (Pre-1972). And as far as parts, I'm pretty sure Moss Motors (www.mossmotors.com) has everything you could ever want, or need for any of the more "popular" British cars. (Morris Minors, and Austin America's need not apply).
They even sell complete Unibodies for the MGB. So you could conceivably buy a shell, park it on jackstands next to your rust-buck "B" and start moving parts over, replacing as needed, and have a "brand-new" MGB in short order.
