One of my most favorite sports would have to be Tennis.;) I've been playing since I was 'bout 14. That's when I started really getting into it. I took Tennis as a class at school, and took private lessons after school everyday.

I'm also a big fan of Racquet Ball.

Anyone else a fan of these sports? Do any of you even consider them to be a "sport?"

My brother plays Tennis for our High School. We have individual good players there but as a team they suck. Oh well.

Yeah, they're sports. I used to play tennis with my friend at a local court, but he moved away. None of my other friends like playing it.:(

I much prefer squash and racquetball - I find I can't control the power in tennis properly (I think the fact that I played squash for years before trying tennis didn't help).

That game kicks arse - very strenuous, and you can smack the bejesus out of it without having to out the little gate and get the ball (unless you get an open court and it sails into the crowd).

when i was in uni i played squash every monday and friday nights. not bad but tennis is much better. me and 3 other guys from work meet up on weekends and play doubles for about 4 hours. we nearly die

Is squash kinda like racquet ball, except it used that ball that's smaller(bout half the size) than the ball used in racquet ball, and it's not bouncy?

Yeah, that's it - the ball's just the convenient size to fit in your eye socket and smash your eyeball if it got in there. The ball's bouncy once you've got some heat in it, and it goes a LOT faster than racquet ball - I always find in racquet ball the rallies last forever, especially if you've got two squash players, because the ball moves slower and sits up easier. Good fun, though.

i just played tennis for the first time in my life, 2 days ago. its pretty fun, and a hell of a workout. im just getting the hang of the rules/scoring. im getting better, but my serve needs work. i just try to put it in the square....no aces for me yet.

Tennis is pretty . I take private lessons and come against some fifteen year olds which are quite good. This dude has a VERY BIG serve.... (have to stand behind the baseline to hit it and get in)
