Not to mention, the "Dino" design came in several configurations, and one could lump pretty much any Air cooled Porsche.

I think, though, when you go entirely different configuration, you can't count it as one engine. If so, we might as well re-do the Eight-cyl vote, and mashup all the Smallblocks, although there's little-to-no parts interchangability.

I actually agree with what you're saying, however, Ferrari seems to consider both V- and H- type versions part of the same engine family.

Hmmm... anything I'd have nominated has been nominated already, the McLaren's V12, the Ferrari Colombo engine (didn't know its name, but it was on my mind...), and the Merlin V12...

frankly:

that is awesome... I've been tinkering with designs for Merlin powered cars (purely as a doodle-book exercise) for quite some time, and while that ain't exactly pretty, it's awesome nonetheless.

And this is what happens when you put the race version of this engine into a BMW X5!! :D

That had the engine of the V12 LMR in it, not the F1 GTR.

Well, Twelves are up, so, Nominations are over!
