The quality fine but thats because you have got alot of Black bars
Next is to fix the aspec ratio to remove the black bars.
Youtube shows this......

Once you learn to crop for the correct aspec ratio of 16/9 the quality for the picture will decrease as the balck bars will be picture detail.
Another option to consider is if you want to provide 480p...

The thing is, is that I don't know how to crop in my video editor. Maybe I'll just use 2 different editors. And I'll find a way to put it as 480p. Thank you for your input.

Oh and I'm using dazzle dvd recorder. Its not an HD capture card. So I don't know if it'll be 480p or any higher.

i have a friend in youtube uses dazzle within HD quality



i guess i asked him once how he uses an a HD quality while using dazzle capture,
he says that he uses Sony Vegas video editor, something like thaat.

Dazzle brand don't do HD capture cards.
Upscale via Video editor is not HD its "SD with upscale" applied.

OP due to the different software given away free with different dazzle set ups I can't tell you were/or if you have a proper editor with your version.
So yes you may have to get a secondary editor to crop the black bars.
