Test Course: Better off For Racing or for Testing?

No races take place at Complex String.

Races at the Test Course are always mind-numbing, far more so than any other circuit. At least at Complex String you get some variety over your 11000m. Hearing the whine of an engine at full RPMs against the rev limiter for 40+ minutes is painful. I find myself switching from bumper cam to external view every lap just for some variety in the noise. As a test track it's great, far better than the test course of the first two games. It doesn't deserve a race however, or at least more than one. Like The Wind was enough.
 
It is nice to see that Complex String should have been called Test Course rather than the oval. Even if NASCAR stock cars were in GT4 for Test Course (the oval), it would still be boring, even with restrictor plates. Even a night run on the Test Course would be dull and boring.

I think I've heard of top speed runs with the Volkswagen W12 (possibly the best VW, even if it is just a prototype). I think it went around a big oval track for hours on end trying to get good times and top speeds for it. So to call the big oval a "Test Course" is kind of alright, kind of fitting. It should have been called (this may sound weird, but...) the "High Speed Ring." That's all it is. And you're going to have Fuji in GT4, so the Test Course can adopt the new name.

Now to unintentionally p*ss off somebody else with this off-topic reply. Congratulations to the Philidelphia Flyers for defeating the Toronto Maple Leafs to advance to the Eastern Conference finals against the Tampa Bay Lightning. But Belfour still owns.
