Test Curse Hints???

:D I don't play around w/Hybrids much but got bored today & decided to see what I could do at the Test Curse. F/090 w/Escudo Engine (8037HP). The best I can manage is 505MPH at the end of the straights & about 480 thru the turns. Think I've about got the Final Drive optimized 'cause if I move too much one way or the other I give up either straight line OR cornering speed.
I see times at "Racing Line" that are "Phenominal" :eek: to say the least. Any idea where I can improve? :confused: THANX in Advance...UB57 :D

anyways... are you using the F090 tires, and what type of drive train are you runnin?

:D HOT enough for you in Sherman ??? :confused: Yep, stock tyres, Weight Reduction, NO CAMBER, NO Toe, NO Downforce etc, etc, Added AWD after my first attempt & it helped a LOT. I want to run "Like the Wind" with it again & with MR it was a "Handfull" after the second Lap to "Say the Least". Hoping the AWD might help. It did help improve the top speed by about 30 MPH but I'd hoped for more! :irked: THANX & "Try to stay "Cool"!!! ...UB57 :D
 
god, please dont remind me, UB, atleast you got a gt-racing seat...

Now as for your car, do you have the set up on MK, and do you still have the ini? Let me look at it in there and maybe, MAYBE i might be able to figure it out...

it has the 787b racing tires so it should have a little bit more grip, and the front df has been adjusted to keep the front tyes on the ground, it should help but if all else fails, dift!

You know, if you set the power multiplier to 0 as opposed to -1, a Mini motor can make over 4,000hp out of the box :D

:D But I'm trying to do it with out touching the Multiplier if possible. I mean 8000+ HP seems like it oughta be enough, but she just runs into a "WALL" :banghead: above 500 MPH. "Handling" doesn't seem to be a problem as I never have to "Lift" once I get it launched. Have fiddled w/trans-final drive ratio quite a bit & it seems real "Touchy" that's for sure :irked: The Record at Racing Line seems to be about 1200 MPH!!! :eek::eek::eek:

I don't think you can make caster adjustments in gt3...

:D I finally "Caved" & played with the Multiplier. 620MPH Down the straights & almost 600 thru the turns but it's "GAS" to drive & the replay "Sound" is amazing. "Almost" makes the Test Curse "FUN"!!! :lol: I'll PM the .ini file to anyone interested. Thanx Again...UB57 :D
 
I read somewhere of a PT Cruiser that laps on Test Course in 9 sec :scared: , which means an alien average speed of 2,700 mph. (Though I must admit I can hardly believe this as long as I haven't seen it).

Concerning Racing-line's speed of 1,200 mph, are you certain it wasn't in wheeling ?

Yes, you're probably right! :guilty: I ran an "OLR Legal Lap" w/NO touches etc, but was a little disappointed when DOUBLING the HP only added about 100MPH. :irked: Still just the "Sound" made my recent installation of a Logitech 6-Speaker System worth the investment!!! 👍 ...UB57 :D

The problem of adding power is that the wheels spin more and more and you eventually lose speed unless you go into fine tuning. I usually limit myself to 2 or 3,000 hp. (I had a 447,000 hp Mini with a top speed of only 150 mph because the wheels keep on spinning even in 6th gear.)

It was me that lap, it did wheelie and manage not to break-out and just grind around the walls for a lap. But the lap time is correct, 9.4** I think.

Even though it's impossible to do a lagal lap with the car, it's a blast to drive.
 
If you still have the PAL replay (.xps) or a video I'd like to take a look at this.
Same if you have the .ini file...

even though I'm NOT a programmer, I've always been of the opinion we could have had at least Two more "Real Courses" w/the disc space wasted on this abomination!!! :grumpy: ...UB57 :D

I dont think i have a replay of the lap. But a screenshot of the records screen and an .ini file is possible for you too have. I'll post them up when I have some time.

I don't need the screen capture, because I never meant I didn't believe you.
I just would have liked to see it or better, do it myself. That's why I'm interested in the .ini file when you can find it.
 
me and a buddy of mine have gotten around a 5 sec lap i think it is. with a AWD CTR with F1 tires, and around 2500-3000 hp. doing a wheelie of course. you have to do a few laps tho, need to come off the start line at like 500, then wheelie all the way to around 4-5K mph, come outta the corner at around 500-800 mph, then on the straight at about 10K and break outta the track and it registeres around a 5-11 sec lap.
