Anyone ever been to those events where the cars are all lined up and ready to be tested?

For 2 days, my local Nissan dealer is organising a massive test drive where all models sold here can be tested, including the 350Z(auto).

All in all, there are 9 models. Plus free drinks and snacks.

It was fun, but I didn't get to drive the 350Z yet. Gonna go again tomorrow early to drive it. Its not everyday 1 could get to drive a US$100K car.

The 350Z is not a US$100K car... it's probably a tad over $35,000US, it sells for $45,000 canadian and I'm not good on my conversions.

Maybe it's 100k in Mayalasia?.......

Or maybe it's the Nismo long one?

Besides, here in the US at least, we don't have to go to an event, we can just walk into the locan Nissan dealer, say you're interested in buying one, and you can take it out for a spin. (With a salesperson in the other seat, of course, making sure you don't do anything stupid.)

@ 350Z

Of course the normal models can be tested anytime. But the 350Z is a fully imported model which costs a bomb and is only available upon request. I think they also only have a test car available which means only 1 particular showroom has it.

It is more than US$100K over here.

its closer to 150K.

Taxes.....................btw, it very nice to drive.

Damn man around here for a base model 6 speed it's like $25k out the door after incentives

When you think about what we have to pay for a used GTR, it starts to seem a little less insane...

I'd still rather get a used 1989 Skyline R32 GTR from JNS imports for over 20k Canadian. It's something that nearly nobody has in North America, and anyone who knows what it is will literally crap their pants if they see your car. Just pray that it doesn't break down too often .

And the 350Z is faster than an RX8 for around the same price. The only advantage the RX8 has is 4 seats and a rotary engine. Looks is all personal opinion (I like the 350Zs looks over the RX8s).

:sly: I think the skyline is the only car after taxes that can be bought here cheaper than in the USA.

Does RotoReX do any other 'Pre-V' skylines besides the GTR? Can I get my hands on... what was it called... I think the R34 FR GT Turbo
(it's the RWD equivelant to the GTR)

On the 4 seats thing The Z's brother, the V35 Skyline has four seats. But I preach leight weight (RX8, just over 3,000lbs w/gas) so that don't matter anyways :p

MotoRex does not do R34 non-GRR models. However, they do legalize and sell R33 and R32 GT S and GTS-t models.
