whle the Cobra and SS wawere dukkng it out with Evan Smithat the Wheel Showing the SS to be on average .4 slower through the 1320.
But Pontiac Hi Po Mag tested an Auto Ws6 Trans Am and it recorded consistant 13.0- 13.1 This F body only losing by an Average of.1

who nows theARTS ..
COM ON .....'FIREBIRD '

Grammar man, grammar.

I'm not too familiar with the WS6' numbers, but I do know there is no way in hell it laid down 13.0 - 13.1's with a radial tire.

Yeah, uhm....I didnt know 2nd graders knew so much about cars. They certainly don't know how to form whole sentences.

Car-Stats.com Report for 2000 Pontiac Trans Am WS6
Obtained from MT December, 1999
0-60: 5
Transmission: Manual
1/4 Mile: 13.5
1/4 Speed: 107
Motor Trend got a 2000 to run 13.5, so I can easily see the faster 2001's running a 13.1 ona good day (uncorrected for altitude, as these specialty mags often do). So :p

And as a random guess as to the change, something to do with the MAF calibration?

That is some fast times. Its in the range of the STi. Which can also run 12.9s-13.0s on good or windy days. Track condition also matter in a drag race alot more than some people think. I saw a GT-R run 12.2 on a really windy day on Best MOTORing why was that? The conditition. On regular days it run 12.8 at best.

All around its impressive. I dont like the look but it is fast.

I've seen what the STI can do.. that will be my next purchase..

WELL.. NO ONE KNOWS? GT doesn't teach you American cars.. not the gritty

My God, Grammer over common sense.

A Ws6 has in actuaLity between 360-375 HPC CRANK,

99 TESTED AT 5.0.. 13.5

BEFORE THE ANSWER TO THIS QUIZ.

THE 01-02 RECIEVED
LS6 INTAKE MANIFOLD
LS6 EXHAUST MINIOLD
GM'S 6.0 VORTECH TRUCK CAM PROFILE
NEW ECU

Like you said.. your unfamiliar.. . upgrade cam, calibrations and breathing.. andyu have 13 Flat

Wait grammer man.. 01-02 F-bodies had a %20 chance of recieving an LS6 block as well.
It can handle more power( no breakage),and throgh surplus for the Z06 and falling just within the + tolerance HP limits
RX7's..My M3 will outskid and slolom.. it and e36 not the heavy e46
The Ws6 will require different Tires than its set up onotherwiseits track redy, auto X or drag..(1le suspension + 320.1 rwhp stock)lol
gotta love that Wankle. After all it is an American design.

My Ws6 Stock.. Vs stock anything 2001.. i was unbeatable ..sans Viper and Z06

I don't poof, nor use spellcheck...
You're compensating ,to attack my grammer.Sadly, Frued said their are sub gifted Iq's walking..like yourself that hate permeates through like a collander
makes a point for chemical castration
AL
How you make it through life, I will never know. . .

And the Wankel is designed by a GERMAN, Dr. Felix Wankel.

Montster..please.
The infancy of the LS1 in 01 was its limiting factor.
We have aV-8 with well over 350 crank(conservative, even in the Ws6-can't test sealed ram air on a Dyno-)
Yes the RX is a 8.5 out 10..and do hin i 've not listed the page long mods.. this isn't your Daddys' Pontiac
And Yes handling, option code 1le, Factory track ready.... you know little

And Once more sadly the RX couldn't meet OBDII standards.. oh yeah Mazda was/ is still part of Ford
For its price , in its day.. the Ws6(2001 List $29k) would time warp back and spank the RX right off the showroom

Monster7, how is it pssible to judge me.. my demeanor over the net.. as if you could seee if i'm smiling or mad..

i know i Teach basc Physics doesn't mean i don't know the latests American and Affordible German cars.$50k<
Big Decision. Lose the Ws6.. and 170+ mile Drills.. or the Impath M3,razor trafficker.

Your right, though Froede in the late 50's made it happen.
GM was exempt from Patent Claims(i wonder why ?.. so it was a consideration for the Vette.a Four rotor i believe.. but the Rotarys unreliability and willingnesss to break.. sent your German Engine to the land of the Rising Sun

1 Word -Apex.. No matter what you do.. it will go bad.. Unless your a put, putter.. which we know your not.. you don't race Much between you waxing and Armorall(Like me every outing gets a clean up) because you THINK you can beat so many cars..every car has their weakness..
And i live just fine, lateral thinker aregood for knowing why it works, while still living, Shooting/Hunting, Judo Girls, Fine food, and a 7% lean 235lb self on a 5'10" frame.
I'm happy. If you had a rockect v-8 and a M3 wouldn't you.. 2 extremes.. America's Finest muscle car, Germany's awesome track car
i live just fine
Rotaries aren't Japanese.. Einstien.. and they were in the US long before Japan.

Secret to not caring about grammer is this.. if you had 10 million dollars would you tell your girlfriend(new)that you were filthy rich???

Your underestimation is my advantage

I find your lack of grammar distrubing.

Edit - If you had 10 million dollars, wouldnt it be embarassing to be banned from an online message board because your horrible grammar was a violation of the AUP?

The only thing I can say is that GM F bodies benefitted from SLP's fresh air induction kit, Firebird Formula/Trans Am was the first to receive this as part of WS6 in the final days of the LT1 engine and there was a slight lag in re-introducing this Ram Air kit when the LS1 motor arrived in the F body. Towards the end, 2001/2002, both the Camaro & Firebird were available with the ram air kit. Power outputs of the LS1 were slightly re-rated upwards in the final days, but I think that was more marketing than any change in actual hardware.

The Ram Air LT1s had an actual solid connection between the intake and the scoop. However, the scoop on LS1 Ram Airs just "directs" air to the intake. So they really werent the same.

I dont know if there were any changes to the LS1 Camaros during the production runs or not....off the top of my head.
