It suddenly dawned on me while testing my ZZII in GT3 that there's no way to test how your car handles at different stages of the tyre wear.

This seems so simple and obvious I can't think why PD didn't include the option to put tyre wear on during test sessions as it can really affect the overall handling of the car.

So basically I would like to see this in GT4....take heed PD!

Anyone got any other ideas regarding testing...?

:D

Something showing your 0-60mph times would be nice, currently i am getting around that in GT3 by pausing the replay when i hit 60 and check the time elapsed.
I just think that with performance cars one of the first thing people look at is 0-60 time. It is mentioned when the text scrolls accross the screen telling you about a car you have selected, but i think it would be pretty cool to know how quickly your car goes from 0-60 after $100k worth of modifications.

so yea the car does 0-60 in 7.5 seconds from the factory, but after doing a few mods it would be fun to see your car run 0-60 in 4 seconds or something. Maybe they can just incorporate it into the 400m test. At the end it can show you your 0-60 time.

ARGGGG the word "considerations", USED AGAIN. ARGGGG STOP IT!!!

If you can be able to keep records of your setup, fastest times, and such, that would be good. I think that there should be some records you can keep for a special car. Or you can race Tsukuba in GT4, which is more like a Japanese proving ground.

By the way... It's almost going to be six months I've been on GTPlanet, and it seems like what someone said about me is true... "...I breathe new life into GTP." Code_kev looking into long introductions, and seeing "considerations" used by another person. I must HAVE breathed new life to this wonderful forum site.

So a comment, and an off-topic comment from John. Cheers!

Enter a race that has tire wear, on the track you're looking to test (or even against the cars you're considering). Then run long qualifying sessions until your heart's content; it will even log your fastest time for you. Tire wear is on and you can examine your car's wear patterns, and the other cars' pit strategies ahead of time. You may occasionally run across other taffic, but not too often.

Ahem....can I just point out that the word 'considerations' was used purely in a sarcastic way....also to annoy code_kev lol

I'm liking the 0 - 60 ideas though...

:)
