The penultimate round of TGT4 is here and this is also the final Racers Cup event. Whilst both the GC and Cup competition are pretty much sewn up there is still plenty to race for! Good luck everyone.

Feel free to discuss sector times but please don't mention lap times or total race time.

General Information and Regulations

All rules, regulations, car specifications, and races are controlled by TGT4 sanctioning body, GTMSA. Any and all questions should be directed to GTMSA officials (namely me ABud) and officials will do their best to answer in a timely and accurate manner.

All drivers must run at the specified weights and horsepower settings provided by GTMSA for each round.

  • Standard Online Racing Rules Apply.
  • No Cheating, hybrids, etc. You must run the car specifications I give you
  • Try keeping at least 2 wheels on course. Long races = small mishaps, but absolutely NO shortcuts
  • No wall-riding as well. Combined with penalties, this will slow you down considerably, so don't do it.
  • All decisions by GTMSA officials are final
  • Curbs/rumble strips count as track

If a driver doesn't manage to submit a time for a particular stage a penalty time will be assigned, calculated as follows:

110% of the slowest time.

Eg. If the slowest time is 19'25.346 the penalty time for all non submitting racers will be:

21'00.365

Also if a driver joins the series part way through their GC time for the races missed will be calculated in the same way

I sit back and revel in the fact that I have 8th place overall locked up. And that Shotamagee would be wise not to miss the last two events for fear of losing to me. :scared: Even after his nice showing at Seattle. 👍

Third place is still up for grabs. I'll try to get in somebody's way.

This was one of the more "blah" races of this series to me. But I also don't find the forward direction here to be particularly enthralling, so I hope that you all enjoy it. 👍

Thanks oldmodelt, but don't worry i've already got a practice run for this week i could submit under my belt.

Also 3rd - 5th overall is still less than 10 seconds, which is impressive after 1:30 hours of racing.
I would substitute Austin343's 'blah' with an 'easier' for this week. This track is a bit less of a challenge but its also a bit less stressful because its easier to find the right lines . (so everyone's times should be closer, right?) Bring on the green hell, which shouldn't be so 'blah?' especially with this car.

I've been asked last minute to work away from home Monday & Tuesday so results and Stage 12 thread won't be up till Wednesday night. Stage 12 is a time trial (1 lap) at Nurburgring.

Because this week is a bit easier, i wanted to finish a no AI contact & OLR clean race.
This meant it took longer than i would have liked. Anyway here are the places i overtook the AI.
Lap1
Chevy Corvette - overtake around outside of 3, and clear before 4
Mitsubishi HSR II - overtake on inside between 6 and 7
Honda Dualnote - overtake around outside entering 15
TVR 350c - overtake on inside exiting 15
Lap2
Lotus Esprit 330 - overtake on inside between 2 and 3.

time submitted.

fairly good run i think.

Where exactly is that track located? :dunce:

Submitted ,
I agree with Austin343 for this being a "blah" race . In a good way. :sly:

G'Day all.
Time submitted.
I thought it was okay, lots of sideways action which was probably not the fastest way round but a lot of fun.
Got past everyone by end of lap 1 and had no trouble thereafter.
Good luck all.

Very nice "blah" race college boy. 👍 I agree that reverse is more fun for me too, though.

I'm only a second per lap off Austins pace, which i'll happily take, though this does support the theory that the difficulty for last weeks challenge was not as demanding as previous missions.

Like the lingo?, well its pursuant to the fact that i'm writing this as a break from writing an assignment.

Edit: Assignment done (huzzah) i can write like a slob again.

Also congrats to Madmax86 on 2nd in the racers cup, i was gunning for 2nd (well would have been equal 2nd), because this was the only cup i've been in since the start.
You got me by 5sec in this race so hats off to you.

G'Day all,
Good close racing as usual, well done everyone 👍
Things are really tightening up for the minor places, it looks as if we will have to wait for the last sprint
on the " Champs-Élysées " :) :) to sort things out.
This is as it should be.

Good Luck everyone at the 'Ring :nervous:
