I just want to say thank you to Superbike for the great deal on the TH8. Thanks! you're AWESOME!

Secondly, this thing is brilliant. Anyone complaint about this is nuts. And saying it doesn't feel real I gotta say is being overly harsh because it feels real right out of the box, and if you turn the screw it's a 1:1 for a real shifter. Quality stuff.

I highly recommend anyone on the fence get the shifter and inerfaceones adapter to use it with your Fanatec wheel. If you already have a T500 it's a no brainier. I know I'm preaching to the choir but had to say it. :)

It's probably better to wait for CSS and see what's it like. It will probably be a lot cheaper to use with Fanatec wheels.
 
I have it already, I'm working on adding it right now. I'll have something up on Monday hopefully with the TH8, CSR E, D-Box. :D
 
Where can I get such a interfaceone adapter? PM the guy or something?
 
You can't argue with that quality / price. I have yet to try one though, so opinion is purely based on looks and various videos I've seen.

I'm not doubting the quality of those shifters above, but I'm pretty floored by the quality of this thing. I thought it would be a toy but man I was wrong. Its freakin heavy and turn that knob a little and it feels like a real shifter. I have no idea what some other dudes were talking about because its got positive, realistic shifts.

Still naked, but I got a box and put mine in it.. took about 5 mins and cost about $1

Cool.... Is there any lag in shifts from the box? Has anybody tried Forza4 yet to see if you get any damage from shifting too quick?

@ VWMasteR regarding forza as long as you have correct clutch technique you wont cause gearbox damage by a quick shift!

that said perhaps your hand moves faster than your foot!!

so go into the clutch settings on the forza controllers and put some deadzone in place. now your foot needs to travel less distance = faster shifts without damage..

Hope that makes sense!!

there is no lag that I have felt with this device in GT5, FM4/3 or any other game I've played.

Yeah I was just more curious if when you move the shifter is there a delay... I wonder if interface one has any info on this. When I start race nights my clutch window is very narrow and I very rarely get damage, very rarely. As the sauce starts flowing I get a little slower and make more mistakes. I could see this being even worse if there was some lag.
 
@gslooney- just in case, where did you get the box and how did you drill the holes? Did you just use a drill?

but it looks a more brittle version of the plastic. so cutting into it may cause it to shatter?

The PCB fits the enclosure perfectly. you can use any box that matches the size of this, I have a black box as well which I bought at the same time but the translucent box lets me see the LED's

as for the holes.. well I butchered them with a craft knife and a set of pliers!!:guilty:

shop around and I'm sure you'll pick up or find some reusable container.. Man you could mount it inside an old DVD case! if you wanted! Just apply some imagination and paint.. or pick something up cheap :) (I'm a scotsman, I can't help it)
 
Thanks looney, I found a plastic box that 1/4 nuts came in and I wrapped that in GorillaTape and made the proper cut out. :D It was a perfect fit.

Works great.
 
I've put my interfaceone adapter for sale on f-wheel forums..as I have no use for it anymore (Consoles have gone from my setup) :)
Brilliant bit of kit though :)
 
Just looking through Amazon... WOW the T500RS go expensive. I got mine for $382. It is now $577. This was obviously a steal and I was very stupid for returning it and not reselling it.
