TH8A or TH8RS?

Hi all,

Sorry for the newbie question but i have the T500RS wheel setup and am looking into the optional shifter, thrustmaster list both the TH8A and TH8RS on the site plus other re-sellers, can someone tell me the difference or if one has superseded the other?

 

Also, i believe it connects into a second usb slot in the PS4 if this is the case and i want to use my USB headset to what are my options?

TH8A is the newer version.
Apart from a small color difference (red --> black), the A can be connected directly to a T300 wheel by means of a DIN plug. It has a DIN to USB cable included, so all options are available.
The A is compatible with the PS3/PS4 and XB1

If you want to use the shifter solely with the T500 then you have to use it via USB so it wouldn't matter whether you own TH8A or TH8RS.

Just ordered the TH8A myself - use a bluetooth headphones so no USB issue. Found it a little cheaper on Zavvi over Amazon.
