If it weren't for your overzealous driving techniques and you subsequently ramming me, I would not have beaten the Nissan R89C by 5 hudredths of a second at Indy.

It's nice to see other's venting about that race, lol.... Man, I must have posted 30 times in another forum about the damn AI's cheap dirty playing and ramming me off the track. With it happening 9.8 times out of 10 on the very last lap at the very last turn. Go from first to last in 2. 3 seconds. After leading 3 out of 5 laps..... all while using my Zonda R.

Oh, I did get the last laugh at the AI though. I brought back my X1 and lapped all thier butts!!!!

That was a tough one. I had to ask for a lot of help to get it done. Furai FTW.
 
Haha congrats man i just beat LTW as well. After using a furai to win the zonda. Now me gots a Minolta!! yieew
 
Just used the Furai...Set the top speed to 360 I think. Was kinda disappointed seeing everyone was making such a fuss about how hard it was meant to me. Daytona Road was easier, I spun early on and still chased down the leader with a few corners to go.
 
Well it is hard. I took my Raybrig NSX out to win it, and got lap times of 1:38 and got 2nd place on lap 4/5. Still 7 seconds behind what I think was a Pescarlo Playstation themed car. I was racing that NSX to the brink of losing control and made no mistakes. Decided to save until 4 million cr to get the Formula GT, but without a real vehicle of the proper category its kind of just about playing your luck. The escudo in front of me made a mistake on lap 4 so it was too easy to pass him and the draft wouldn't help me at that point anyway. Its just a poorly balanced race.

Yep, the AI in GT5 isn't fast enough, unless you challenge yourself with an under-performing car.

If you are a good, smart driver, it's hard not to automatically be 'better' than the opposition, which is why I want them to sort some proper online modes out.......:indiff:

Whats worse, though, is that on some tracks, they don't even take the fastest line, that, in reality, drivers with driving brains would probably stick to.
For example, Madrid Long, after the small U-turn, at the start, they go very wide for the braking zone of the next corner.... Treating it as two corners, when it only needs to be one!

Whearas leaving plenty of room for a dive, where they should be just taking the shorter line anyway. :yuck:

The AI in Prologue may not be as smart, but it certainly was faster... PD laxing the AI potential for casuals I think. :guilty:
PD, CAREER DIFFICULTY SETTINGS PLEASE? Now i'm going back to B-Spec, where racing the AI is actually fun. Literally.
At least I can do tons of other 'stuff' while still making progress! Cazz-yoo-elll!

Same... We're just too adaptable!
Even with just 600Hp, it's so easy to make up for it in the turns. Then, at indy, they don't even seem to use all their power. :rolleyes:
 
The 1st race on "Like The Wind" on A-Spec & B-Spec was pissing me off and driving me crazy. It's the Daytona Road Course where the AI is so horrible and the course is pretty rough where you can spin out easily.

I even farmed 4 million credits by doing the Europe Cup championship for 2 straight days to buy the Puegeot 908 HDI Fap and still couldn't beat that DAMN race. Finally beat it when a friend lent me his Toyota Minolta.
 
Haven't done it on A-spec, but I have a lot of confidence in my FGT...
Bob at least knew how to win in that one.

I honestly think the Minolta is one if the Best Cars in the Game , i've grinded mine to Death as have all my B-Spec Bobs its also got the Highest Mileage in my Garage at now well over 10.000 Miles thats 40% of the Total Miles i've done in the Game .

It's going to need a Engine refurb soon as the power won't go above 992BHP after a Oil Change . It used to be 1040BHP after the Oil Change to its almost Wore out :guilty:

Yeah I agree. It's the car I mainly use when I farm on B-Spec Dream Car championship were each race is worth 22,700 and you get 206,000 credits after coming in 1st each time in the championship.

Doing this because:

-Leveling up all 6 of my drivers on my race team for B-Spec
-Leveling up overall on B-Spec where my goal is to get to level 35 to get the X1 as a gift car.Instead of having to do the hard Sebastian Vettel challenge.
-Earn credits. Currently at 3.7 million and trying to save up 10 million and fight the urge to buy any cars so that I can knockout the multi millionaire trophy and have money to buy the Formula GT car and another 5 million or more expensive car.

If you do a oil change which I do each time I'm done racing the dream car championship on B-Spec it will restore the Toyota Minolta back to 1040 HP. Which is a hell of a lot cheaper than spending 500,000 credits on a engine rebuild and another 500,000 on a chassis maintenance.

Won this race with the Pescarolo Courage LM car - now the Toyota will be something I will use for lap based enduros - I'll use the R10 for time based ones
 
I used the stock Furai to win at indy (easily getting pushed through by one of those maniacs behind me). I wasn't so lucky at Daytona, I kept getting spun out, and if the leader was more than 1.5 seconds away from me by the time I finished the infield section I could never catch him. I swapped for my bone stock ZR1 RM and after a few tries took it down. Frustrating race.

I got the Furai for completing the Roadster event (the one with all the Miatas) in the Amateur Events section in B-Spec mode. You need to be approx. Level 4 or 5 in B-Spec to gain access to the event. You may be able to obtain it some other way, but that's how I got it.

Oil is changed after every Race and it still won't go above 992BHP so its Worn out .

But I got the FGT so that's being abused in B-Spec and i'll get round to doing a Full Restore on the Minolta when I have some cr to play with .

That particular Car is worth it 👍
 
Agreed, the Minolta Toyota is one of the best cars in the game. Won a bunch of races and alot of credits with that one...👍

I actually didn't use the Minolta, I was driving the Corvette.

The Minolta behind me ran into me and pushed me slightly past the R89C that I was next too. lol
 
Minolta has to be a top 5 if not, top 3 prize cars you can win from an event!
 
For those who may be having problems with this race I find that if you stay to the inside on the straights you can make it easy. The Ai will not draft off you if you are on the inside line. They will not ram you and most importantly they will not pass and then brake in front of you. With a reasonalby fast car and this little strategy you can win by several seconds.
 
i found grinding out to the R10 before even getting to that race was nice.
