Hi Guys,

I have been visiting these forums since late last year and I just wanted to say thank you to the GTP community.

Not being overly experienced with GT as a whole, racing lines/methods and especially the tuning aspects of GT I have found the information found within these forums extremely helpful and informative.

The general advice has also been of great value and has recently led to the purchase of my first wheel. After much reading of differing opinions on wheels, reasonings, pros and cons, I settled on a DFGT. To be honest I have found the wheel completely different to the controller. Given the extra control the wheel allows and the force feedback it provides (I have the standard controller, not a dual shock so I have never had to deal with a the game trying to "fight" me) I have basically had to learn how to drive from scratch again. I ended up deleting my prior game and starting from scratch, going through the licence tests and am starting off with only the lower power cars to learn how the greater control effects the driving itself. AND IM HAVING AN ABSOLUTE BLAST!

Every question I have had, I have been able to find the answer to within these forums without the need to create a post/thread. So I thought I would just take the oportunity to say thank you 👍

Kind words, bro (makes me want a DFGT even sooner :(), but this really belong in the Steering Wheels & Racing Hardware forum, as it is mostly what the topic of this thread is about.

And Welcome to :gtplanet:

Sorry mate,

My mistake, wasnt my intention to make the thread about the wheel, was more to say the informaiton found on the site as a whole has been helpful. Figured this was the most appropriate place for it as the other sections seem to be for one aspect only where as I assumed this was more of a general section.

Mods, feel free to move this to a more appropriate section. 👍

No problem, Trooper. But it has been nice reading the OP.

The thread is in the right place :)
And you are welcome (dunno if you've ever read anything that I've written, but none the less :))

Well, there is a split between GT5 and Sim Racing Hardware, but it seems Sim Racing Hardware is mostly the subject, so it may belong in that forum. But all in all, it doesn't matter, anyways.
