My best friend smokes Marlboro's and because of such he signed up to get coupons online. That entitles you to be entered in a contest to win a trip to their ranch in Montana.
He won. and took me.
The Ranch is in Clyde Park MT. It is on 18,000 yes thats eighteen thousand acres of nothing but countryside and mountains and trees and lakes.
There is no hunting so all of the animals are fine walking up close to you and the scenery is gorgeous.
I took about 175 pictures between 2 memory cards and about 15 minutes of video but i will upload those later and post a link.
The trip was 4 days and 3 nights. We Landed in Bozeman MT (at a tiny airport, only 4 terminals) and they bused us out to the ranch an hour away.
during the trip they feed you every 30 feet it seems like and if you need anything special (no peanuts, no meat, etc etc) they make it no questions asked.
So we got there, they had orientation and sent us to our rooms. and this is all set up in an old west saloon town by the by.
On the bed there were like 10 different gifts. Of which included a 5X Stetson Felt cowboy hat (basically the best cowboy hat you can buy) a pair of Boots to go with the hat. They give you an Oil skin jacket, a pair of sunglasses and they give you an Ashtray with the ranch logo on it, they give you a personal butt disposal unit so you dont throw your cig butts out in the wilderness. and they give you an aluminum water bottle. oh and a bandana.
The next morning i was up and ready at the buttcrack of dawn waiting. Over the ridge comes a convoy of Hummer H1's. Off Roading! they took out in the middle of nowhere and basically showed us what a stock Hummer H1 can accomplish, THEN let US drive! we did slopes that were like 75 degree angles and it took them all like a champ (since thats what it was made to do) it was amazing! after that i was bussed to Clay Shooting with a 20ga shotgun. it was fun but my arm is still a little sore.
Dinner that night was amazing, (its all buffet style and they cook soooooo much food its impossible to go hungry) oh and all yes ALLLLL the alcohol is FREEEEE just walk up to the bar and ask for a drink... or 20... its alllllllll free! the only thing i could buy is cigs after my free 6 packs lol. After dinner they had a party in the Livery, with Karaoke and line dancing.
I know how Karaoke works, so aside from my renditions of All Along The Watchtower and Comfortably Numb i brought the house down with Bohemian Rhapsody. i then had about 6 other people join me and we made complete 🤬 of ourselves but got many compliments the day after. There was also a rendition of Don't stop Believin' I joined in on. also a crowd pleaser.
by the way, i DO NOT smoke. the winner is the only person who HAS to smoke to win. yet they dont watch you every 2 seconds to see that your a smoker you just have to sign a slip of paper to certify that you are a smoker who is 21+
he next day i slept through my Archery adventure but made it at noon to the back country tour. They take you in Wranglers up the other corner of the ranch and let you drive then too. it was rather fun.
That night they fed us very well, steak and bacon wrapped Pheasant. and had a live band in the Livery. I didnt get video but there were two fiddle players playing fiddle witheverything from broken records to coat hangers and each others fiddles. it was amazing.
The last morning we were fed breakfast, given free Zippo's for completing a survey and the night before we got a leather bound address book and photo album the address book came with address lables so we can pass em out to others and they dont have to write anything down.
We then headed out for 4 hours of waiting at the airport. they let us make sandwiches for the wait but we were at the airport 4 hours early... not much fun.
All in all i think everyone here (21+ in the US) should apply!
