10. Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe - € 334,000

Powered by a V12, 453 hp engine and available with an optional teak-deck of 30 different pieces of wood. The Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe is a category on its own, just like people who can afford such a model. Even so, this is the least expensive car on the list.

9. Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SuperVeloce - € 340,000

A very different beast compared to the Drophead Coupe, the Lamborghini LP670-4 SuperVeloce is the swan song of the Murcielago series. It boasts a 6.5-liter V12 engine that produces 670 horsepower, four-wheel drive. The Italian supercar can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3.2 seconds. The owner of this beast does not have just to be rich, but to be able to also... bridle this extremely fast supercar.

8. Ferrari Aperta - € 389,000 (estimated)

Presented at this year's Paris Motor Show, the Aperta (means 'open' in Italian) was the model with which Scuderia celebrated the 80th anniversary of Pininfarina. The Aperta, based on GTO 599, has a removable soft-top roof and has the same 670 hp, V12 engine. More sexy than the 599 and far more scarce, since only 80 will be built. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 3.5 seconds. Not bad, eh?

7. LeBlanc Mirabeau - € 545,000

The LeBlanc Mirabeau is a Swiss firm specializing in the manufacture of thoroughbred race cars. Even for this price the skin and other comfort features are extra. This machine is all about speed and driving enjoyment, elements generously provided by the supercharged V8 engine that offers 700 hp and 850 Nm of torque. Coming from Switzerland, it can as well be regarded as a movable vault.

6. SSC Ultimate Aero - € 560,000

Considered by many, and not unjustly, the rival of the Bugatti Veyron. The SSC Ultimate Aero can reach speeds of 412 km/h thanks to 1287 hp delivered by the V8 engine. Unlike LeBlanc Mirabeau, this beast comes with a fairly long list of features. Many parts of the body are made of carbon fiber and lightweight materials are also used in the cabin. Made my Shelby, it is the only American car on this list.

5. Ferrari F70 - € 651,000 (approximately)

The fifth position in the list of Forbes is taken by a car that is expected shortly, but the final details have not yet been announced. The F70 is the successor to the Ferrari Enzo. A twincharger V8 engine will deliver 670 hp, while the weight will be around the 1000 kg mark, with the aid of carbon fiber, which is much lower than Enzo. The following photo is unofficial.

4. Pagani Huayra – € 975,000 (approximately)

The powertrain for the new Huayra is the Mercedes AMG V12 that delivers 700 hp and is a variant of the one that moves the SL65 Black Series. The supercar has gullwing doors and a more rounded body. Only 40 pieces are to be built each having high technology such as chassis from carbon-titanium. It's is crazy, and that is also its appeal.

3. Maybach Landaulet - € 1,050,000

First presented at the Detroit Motor Show in 2008. The Maybach Landaulet is based on the 62S and has a soft top that offers rear passengers a seamless sense of space. Powered by a twin-turbo V12 engine, it provides hordes of torque and seemless cruising. The Landaulet is a luxury apartment on wheels, complete with a refrigerator, folding tables and two glasses of hand made champagne from 925 silver. For the overtly affluent only.

2. Koenigsegg Agera- € 1,230,000 (estimated)

With a chassis forged with carbon fiber and aluminum alloy and sporting 900 hp, the Agera can accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in less than 3.1 seconds. An excellent supercar that, as the Swedish claim, offers the biggest boot in relation to opposition. Certainly, this car is not the first option for seekers of a supercar, contributing to this its lesser known name and the price tag. A supercar with practicality you say?

1. Bugatti Veyron Super Sport - € 1,950.000

Not only the most expensive car in the world today, Veyron Super Sport is also the fastest street-legal. With a top speed of 431 km/h, it is listed in Guinness World of Records as the fastest car of mass production. The 8-liter W16 engine sends 1200 hp through the drivetrain and into the wheels, with a mobile rear spoiler engaging in high speeds and preventing the car from taking off. It screams supercar in, out, and over.

Those are incorrect. I believe the Veyron is actually like 4th or 5th most expensive. I heard the Maybach Excelero is $6 million. Although, I wasn't aware they actually made them, but, if someone forked out the money for at least one to be made then it still counts.

Well, then Forbes isn't correct or has some criteria for its ranking.
$6 million is ridiculous, I could buy a whole luxurious grand resort with that sum! I'm curious to find out more about Excelero to see how can they justify this pricetag.

The Maybach Exelero was a prototype and so even though it's much more expensive, it's not a production car and as such does not count.

Also I don't see why the so called "F70" is there considering there has been absolutely no press releases relating to it and it doesn't actually exist yet. The C9 was also the codename for the Pagani Huayra, not a new Zonda.

And finally, the Aperta looks exactly like a 599 with a removable hardtop, not like that. This is the Aperta:

The car in the picture you posted was another one-off called the P540 Superfast Aperta, which was based on the 599 like the production Aperta but was restyled to look like a "Carrozzeria Fantuzzi-designed Ferrari built specifically for the 1968 Fellini film, Toby Dammit."

I'm guessing that article is outdated as it says the Zonda C9 is new and it's missing the LFA, which is more expensive than the Rolls and Lamorghini.

lol at this thread.

this car might want to take you for a 45 million dollar ride... last I heard. I dunno how much it's worth now.

The Lamborghini price is in pounds.

In the US, the SV retailed for $450,000 MSRP, though most owners more than likely paid around $465,000+ after the options & delivery.

Plus that would be most expensive modern production super cars.

Old cars like the 300SL would be costly if you were to buy from someone.

They have estimated prices for Ferraris, but they didn't place the 700'000$+ 918 Spyder somewhere on that list?
