I set off to try to finish my B-Spec mode yesterday. It was raining at Suzuka and it took forever to complete the race. 1 that is one lap from finish the AI was on red for his gas which he could have stopped before that. Actually he did stop, reason for me not wronging, but he only got like a liter or so of gas and barely moved the needle and he was off again. 71/2 hours I had waited for him to finish and now he is playing with the gas. I am now to the point, is he going to make it???? He ran out of gas!! maybe a 1/4 of mile from the finish line and drafted the rest of the way as cars passed him but thank goodness he was far ahead of them...OK can someone tell me why he would do that?? Normally I goto bed while they run cause they are suppose to know to stop for pit stop and GET GAS!

The AI apparently calculates the amount of fuel necessary for each track by using a set value (track-dependent) x number of remaining laps. It could be that due to the weather conditions, it used more than usual.

I usually add a couple of litres on the pitstop before the last stint, just to be safe. I also had it once that my bob had to pit one lap from the end again, because of a miscalculation.

Blue pace = slower = less gas
Red pace = over taking = faster = more gas used.
Low mental bar or completely used up physical bar = wrong calculations done or even result in a completely missed pit stop..

er guessing you only used low level drivers or just one driver, running out of gas, is a risk you take if you do.
If you were to play fair with an even car for the event you can lose the race on other events.
