First one of the new series was tonight. Did anyone else see it?

Seems like Sir Alan "Legend" Sugar is back on form dishing out the cutting one liners  Great show.

They've got some proper annoying people on it this time though. That woman with the curly hair who used to work for Rover is possibly the most annoying woman ever. Ever. Sayid the "What does everyone think of the name 'A-Team'?" guy is plain irritating, Alan finally shut him up in the end though.

So. Did anyone else see it?

Yep, and yep :D

I liked the last series, and i expect i'll like this one :)

Yeah I watched it and I reckon its gonna be on par with the last series. That Sayid dude is a freakin joke man, The A Team, Winners all that bull..... and what the hell is with that woman with the hyperactivity problem? lol

.... and oh yes, Sir Alan dishing it out, Good Form!

That rover woman was just as bad this week. She seems to get really emotional over small little things, really easilly. I guess she never looked at the inside of the cars her company were making.

Anyway... The men's team's calendar was pretty nasty. It looks like the kind of thing you see school children make - all tacky and nasty, with plenty of use from kristen ITC -

*shudder*

The women's teams calendar looked nice, but it had very little content and barely any branding.

I won't say any more incase i'm spoiling it for anyone :p

The Rover woman got even more annoying this week (how is that possible?!), I was really hoping she was going to go, but the female team leader really didn't do herself any favours; After the third time of hearing "Did you know that there are 6 million cats in the UK.. " i couldn't watch the TV, seriously i was cringing. Her presentation sucked sooo bad.

Calendar buyer: "Can i just ask a question?"
Woman: "Hold on, i haven't finished yet... *checks notes* Ok so if you have any questions etc."
Calendar buyer: "*sigh*"

And

Calendar Buyer: "How much will they cost?"
Woman: "Hold on, i haven't finished yet *checks notes* Ok so if you have any questions etc."
Calendar Buyer: "Ok, thanks. How much will they cost?"
Woman: "*blank look*"
Woman: "...Sorry... can you... repeat the question?"
Calendar Buyer: "How much will they cost?"

Can't believe that Karen actually turned Rover's childish tantrums into a good thing - "Well she was so very adament that kittens weren't a good idea and she's very emotional". Yes she's about as emotional as they come:

Rover: "No i don't want to do kittens! I think we should do a calendar about children. I know this little kid... *sobs* ...who would love to tell his story to us... *sobs*"

Summary: Rover deserved to go and on a different note Sayid "I'm streetwise and like the A-Team" deserves a roundhouse kick to the face from Sir Alan.

Nah, it was much more like:

Woman: *blank look*
Man: Can i just...
Woman: -i haven't finished yet.
Man: *sigh*
*long pause*
Woman: Now you can ask me a question.

Manni should have still been in it and that witch woman the fat one should have gone. Shes an aggressive little b!tch. Next one is on tonight.

 Sigged.

Tonight's episode will be the first one I have been able to catch finally. I managed to see some repeats but not all. :(

Seems like a good series so far though.
👍

HAH! Rover woman was finally fired.

What i loved, was when she tried to stop him. It went something like this:

Sugar: You've been in here too many times, you're fired
Woman: Can i just tell you why you shouldn't fire me? ...
Sugar: No
Woman: Well, i think you should hear me
Sugar: No. You're fired.

Overall joy.

 Drinks all round.

She properly begged to stay. Her PM was just like - [head in hands] "Oh god, shut up plz"

Cool ep all in all. The supermarket where they were working was in Slough, we bought my mum's car from there  Cool place, just so many cars 👍

Good thing your mum wasn't buying while these guys were there. Joe woulda scared her off. lol Good episode and finally the hyper one is fired! Sir Alan will sleep well! lol

Tough call yesterday. Syed deserved to be fired because he had bad organisation. That deal should have been top of his priority list but instead he decided to chase dead ends and make excuses instead of admiting he made a mistake. I feel sorry for Sharon because she performed well in other episodes and OK yesterday but Sir Alan was right when he said this wasn't her field.
I'm really starting to hate Ruth, She keeps pulling these stupid faces and is too big for her boots.

Sayid should go. He's so annoying and just repeats everything Sir Alan says so that he likes him, which he doesn't.

And so he has.

I got the impression that Al did start to like Syed towards the end (and strangely i did too), but he was a bit lost at sea every now and then.

Ruth is going to hang herself next week with the interviews i think, as will Ansell. It's a really tough challenge, i remember it from last time, they just get shutdown all over the place.

Michelle has spirit, and she is a bit of a dark horse, but is just a little undersuited for the role. Paul's gotta work hard not to hang himself with his "i'm the best" attitude, but my money is on him.

Its a bit of a shame Syed went. I quite enjoyed watching him but then again Sir Alan is here to find his next apprentice not the biggest entertainer. I'm pretty sure Ruth will go next week.

btw. i didn't watch series 1, what happened to the winner??

The winner, Tim, is still working there. They showed a program about what he was doing. He was tasked with the re-launch of a beauty device and at times it seemed abit hectic. Either way, he signed a new contract if I remember.

Yep he got a new contract at the end of the year, but i don't think he's still getting £100K. Alan just said he wasn't worth that much.

I'm happy that Syed went. Although he can be quite good he is also very arrogant, and makes stupid decisions.

The mistake with the raffle tickets was a killer, i don't think Sir Alan was impressed at his suggestion of just leaving the unmarked tickets out :p

So. Paul and Ansell fired, Michelle and Ruth left. A bit of a surprise? Perhaps.

Paul performed pathetically on the last day. His interviews were the worst and when given the chance to finally talk to SA, he just produced the most generic "i'm good, i work well with others" rubbish that i'm not surprised he was sent home. So unfortunately he did hang himself with his "i'm the best" speeches as some of the interviewers said; too cocky.

Ansell. Where the hell did he come from!? Right up the side line, that's where. He was excellent during the last day, performing well on the interviews (but not great). He's always been an ok candidate, but was esp. good last night. His speech in the boardroom was one of the best reasons for "why should i not fire you" i've heard. Props to you sir.

Ruth. As is always the problem with her, i have nothing to say. She's just so bland. Ok, so she's also pushy, and aggresive, and confrontational, and irritating as well. She was pretty 'meh' on the last day, and in general throughout has only performed well in one area, not as a whole.

Michelle. No longer the dark horse; she kicked some arse last night. Did really well on the interviews. She came across calm and composed, answered questions well and actually had a laugh with the interviewers and their over-the-top attitude. Hasn't necessarally stuck out as a strong candidate throughout the tasks, but she's in the last two for a reason.

So who should have gone?

Paul and Ruth. They were finished. Having pushed so hard for so long over the 11 weeks in a desperate attempt to win, they showed SA what sort of people they were. And unfortunately for them that's not a great thing. The interviews dismantled Paul, the most recent clashes with Sayed hurt Ruth badly. As Ruth is now in the final, her argumentative behaviour is going to be held in stark contrast with Michelle's calm attitude.

Ansell should have stayed and taken Ruth's place. He has never really excelled in one area but has continuously shown that he can do more than just sales. His people skills are much better than any of the other 3, and to be fair he's a much more likeable person than Ruth. Both Ruth and Ansell are so similar with everyone saying "they can only do sales" but for me, it's Ruth that can only do sales, Ansell had much more to offer. Poor choice SA.

Michelle. Not much of a surprise. She's left herself in a really strong position in the final two. The comparisons between her and Ruth are few and far between. Michelle holds stronger people and social interaction skills, she's also not a devestating sales person either. Ruth is a quicker, stronger sales person, but she's not interesting or nice enough to really get on well with anyone in the last 11 weeks, so will she really in Amstrad? We'll see.

*****RESULT*****

The 12 weeks are now over and Sir Alan has chosen his apprentice. The last task, was to organise an event on the two walkways of Tower Bridge, one walkway per team.

Michelle and her team came up with the idea for a James Bond themed get together, complete with diamond auction, target shooting and a casino.

Ruth and her team decided to go with the option of a murder mystery.

Right from the start Ruth was commited to her murder mystery idea until she got a call from Sir Alan, who mentioned that the idea was not the best choice. From then on the idea was muddled up until it was a so called murder mystery night, with can-can dancers.

Michelle's team had problems with sales. They got all the props fine, but she made the mistake of putting Sayed and Paul together to sell tickets. After the 2nd day when they had only sold 4 tickets, Michelle reshuffled the teams so she was working with Sayed, and Paul was working with Sharon. This proved much better as their sales started to quicken. The event itself was very good, with dancers behind lighted sheets, target practise, casino blackjack and a diamond auction.

In the boardroom, it was revealed that while Ruth's team made the most money (3000odd to 1800odd), Sir Alan saw that the Bond theme gave the better quality night in terms of entertainment and when all was said and done.... the new apprentice for 2006 is......

MICHELLE DEWBERRY!

Congrats to her, of the two, she was my pick to win. 👍

Indeed, she did deserve to win 👍

Have to say, she looked smoking in the post-showing roundup program. Alan made the wise choice :D

I'd go out on a limb and say looks were a factor. I know they would've been for me. lol
