okay, this isnt about art, if you came here for art tips...sorry...its about how much we take our fast cars for granted.

i got a new memory card the other week and decided, hey, i'll try a new game from scratch just for the hell of it. I got the Toyota Sprinter which is a cool car stock by the way but hates turbo upgrades. Man its tough winning races...everytime i enter i get the Sprinter SS version in pole position. I can beat it but winning a series is damn tough when all you have is 4,000 in the bank and no upgrades. So when i win an event, i sell the car in order to get money for upgrades (which is wasted on this car...the more you pile on the worse it becomes) and perhaps to buy something better . Its very erratic with power under it hood which is currently at 227bhp. It goes for sure but it doesnt stop...which is an essential requirement when corners and walls are involved.

The 80's cup is a nightmare and i am trying to beat the Turbo Sports race too. I am just too slow. Any more power on this thing and it will collapse. I wanted to buy a Lancer or somehing from my other memory card but i need 60,000 or some other ridiculous amount and i will be better buying it from the dealer....oh man, i have 10,000,000 on the other card and jeez, what i would do for 30,000 of that right now.

still, i'll just keep plugging away at the beginner league and hopefully by tomorrow i will have enough to buy a slightly better car...

thanks for listening. (gripe finished)

if you want to buy your lancer cheap buy a lancer on your other memory card and leave it stock, then buy it for a quater of the price or whatever it is. i don't know why your lancer is 60,000 but anyway...wierd.

well i dont know the exact price coz i old had a few grand in the bank and couldnt buy it....i was just going with the general rule that trading cars mean that they cost you 3-4 tiimes the garage price which makes it 30,000.....my sp sorry

No, that doesn't work. You pay full retail for cars bought from another memory card, not the used value.

But, what you do get for free is all the upgrades that you put on the car on the other card. So in other words, a full-build Evo with all the trimmings costs the same a a stock one. But that would be cheating... IMHO.

I'm actually looking forward to having time to restart from scratch. Those early days were the most addicting for me.

ahhh what the hell....i wont lose any sleep over it...i'm gonna buy the fully upgraded Evo5.....man i love that car....

Enjoy the challenge while it last's cus soon you will have too much money and all the races will be too easy. The car should be good for 350 hp. It might slow off the line but it will pull on 750hp skylines after it get's going.

mmm... restart.
no! must push out of thoughts!

I found the start of the game real challenging pretty much making do with what little cr i won, then I just saved up about 25,000? cr and bought a stock evo 7, and that pretty much wiped the floor with the rest of the cars.

yeah, neon is right....the tureno with a few mods is capable of beating the race of turbo sports in beginner mode. Once thats done a few times at 5,000 per race. youve got enough to buy a lancer from your other memory card. In my case a fully modded Evo5 with a range of tyres including dirt racing tyres running full modded with trannys and turbos galore at +525bhp.....that kills the rally competition and most of the beginner and amateur mode.....befre you know where you are youve got a big garage including all rally cars, a Vertigo race car and a pikes peak suzuki....to mention a few....once you have the pikes peak....youve got an F1 within the hour....GAME OVER!

..all for ~31,000cr

it is cheating...your right my friend

I've also recently started over (hence my renewed interest in the game), and it's proven to be nostalgic as hell for me - not to mention difficult. I'd almost forgotten how challenging the early stages of the game could be. Sure, the Spider & Roadster/Mazda Miasma Enduro wasn't really a walk in the park, but it's nothing like trying to complete 4WD challenge in a Demio with almost nothing on it.

I've even left the music on again, like I'd had it for about the first month on my first game - before I got royally sick of it. Turbo Lover. Red Balloons. Jumpstart My Heart. It's sad, but it's also pathetically nostalgic.

Good times...

Yeah, I actually felt down after I'd hit 100%.

win the b licence test all gold and get the mazda work from there, about a mounth ago I started a new game to see how far I can go with out buying a car .
