I cut my thumb with a leatherman, must have sliced a vein or something because loads of blood started coming out, even a regular band aid couldn't cope, it just got too wet to stick.

So I tried insulating tape, and it is awesome, stopped the flow and still going strong, so my tip of the day is, when bleeding, use insulating tape.

Just thought I'd share.

Yes I'm bored.

So was I.

Much like Band Aid, this thread is annoying and boring. You would've been better off posting this in the Conversation Forum.

EDIT: That came out wrong. Band Aid is a good cause, but I hate the song.

Actually I thought it went something on the lines of "people whoooo".

It's the second biggest selling single EVER in the uk. I know the words, but not through choice!

You know where it places in sales? Your just digging yourself a band aid hole.

Oh and whats number 1?

Is this medical tape or what? Insulating tape sounds like something you'd use in handywork.

Loctite works wonders on minor cuts and scrapes. 👍
You're kidding, right? You mean the blue/red stuff? Isn't it bad to have that enter your bloodstream?

I guess I should have been more specific, Loctite QuickTite. It's a superquick drying super glue. It's super. 👍

Duct tape also works well, especially on blisters (if they are not still draining).

Thats true! I split my toe nail open in the summer ( all of it was gone! :scared: ) and I put like Band - Aids on it since I was bleeding like hell and that wouldnt work so I got some regular ol tape and put cotton and then tape it down but that would work so I just put some newer cotton and then duct taped it really tightly and it stayed on for at least 4 - 5 days!
