When I first got GT3 (just before Christmas) I noticed the Preview button. After checking it out, I came to a conclusion that it sucked. A good idea for GT4 would to still include the Preview button, but when you access the preview for a race you get a flyby of the circuit and commentary by someone.

To put it in simpler terms:
  • Flyby of course - like your in a helicopter and your flying over the course.
  • Commentary by preferrably racing stars.
  • The person doing the commentary would explain the course like 'Such-and-such has been dubbed the hardest course of....'
  • Goes into to explain how to take the hardest parts of the race. One example might be, in the preview of Laguna Seca (if it is still in GT4) it will point out say the first hairpin, the corkscrew and the very last turn as Laguna Seca's hardest turns. It (the commentator) will then go on to explain how to take the corners.
  • Preview ends.

Sounds, good but that would be nicer if it was in the arcade mode bit when you pick the track.

Thats a great idea. I agree in that the preview that they have now sucks. Not only is the camera view random, you can't see info like the number of laps and with a certain camera view you can't switch between the cars.

Hey! I just became a GTP fanatic!

I would think getting details on the compeditor cars would be more useful than "the tightest corner on the track is the slowest". I liked how you could see the opponents HP in GT1, which was a good indicator on whether your car could keep up.

The previews were ment to show you what your up against on the track. The idea of having a fly-by as preview is interesting but after seeing it one time, you won't look at it a sec longer.
