The best LMR / Race car?

There are a variety that turn up in the used car dealership such as the Sauber C9 etc. I already have the Minolta which you win for completing "Like the Wind" and it demolishes the competition with ease.

But now I have 5 million credits, I'm level 23 but I do not know which LMR/Race car to buy when one eventually turns up in the UCD. Any advice? I hear good things about the R8 but who knows.

Share your experiences of the ones you have !
 
I only have the Toyota 88C-V, as well, so far. If you already have the Formula Gran Turismo for its respective championship, check out one of the Premium Audi R10 TDI Race Car ‘06 or Peugeot 908 HDi FAP '10 racecars.

In real life that Audi is better. Doesn't it have only 5 gears though? I hated that about Forza.
 
The Sauber C9 is a beast.

Dang! I spend too much money I guess. I just bought my first race car the Takata Dome SuperGT NSX. As far as LMP racer goes I'm sure the older they get they will be a little better. Over the years the FIA has kept trying to lower lap times across all racing categories. As far as LMP category though I would go with the Nissan R89C, R92CP or Mazda 787B. That being said I'm trying to save up for either the Peugeot 908 HDI FAP or the Audi R10 TDi, can't decide if I want open or closed cockpit.

I've got the R10 stealth car and it looks AMAZING inside the cockpit. The Peugeot looks orders of magnitude better on the outside though. I want one :)
 
got toyota minolta ... fast as hell, but a little bit nervous by accelerating from gear 2-3 into 4...
 
Ok, I've got the "Toyota 7 Race Car '70" in the UCD. 788HP in a 620kg car with Max. Torque of 74.00kgfm seems ridiculously powerful to me.

I'm tempted but still undecided...!
