As we see the GT series coming to its final game for the PS2 coming. And then the PS2 coming to its near death.
Lets talk which game has the best looking cars.

For them all out racers, you should be able to answer this thread with a some what intelligent reply.
Now to me, the cars in Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 are extremly up to scale. No one can contend with that detail in a game.... ever. But Colin McRae Rally 3 has a very good car detail. Everything from the Interior to the Exterior. Even under the car is detailed. Now in Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec you just see extreme detail on the exterior and nothing else. A black hole as the bottom and black windows with 2d fades in the inside. Simulating a interior.

But its up to you. What racing game has the best looking cars?

Overall i'd say GT3 because they are all properly proportioned etc which makes up for the fact that there is no interior.

Need for Speed: HP2 isn't too bad, but i do feel as though they've done a crap job on the Falcon and Commodore cars. Polyphony could do each one of the cars in the game in much more detail to get them looking even more like the real thing.

The insides of the cars don't really get seen that much in HP2 and are basically only in convertable cars - same as GT4...

And GT4: Prologue has better car detail than GT3 (especially on the Viper GTS), but you didn't list that (probably because you haven't (?) played it).

I'm not really too fussed on how they look inside - i prefer seeing them in realistic environments with realistic camera views to make it look more... realistic >> Gran Turismo.

Oh crap, should've voted other

CMR4 has nice looking cars, but most of the ones in GT3 are smooth and well-modelled. They aren't too wide or have some weird angles.

LMAO why did you even bother putting NFSHP2? the cars in there look like a car from a Playstation 1. I seriously thought this game was a WASTE of money except it had the Ferraris,Porsches, and Lamborghini's other then that EVERYTHING IN THE GAME SUCKED IMO.

I don't think the graphics are THAT bad. That would mean it would have worse graphics than GT1/2 which were pretty shocking.

pimp racer

What the hell are you talking about?

NFS:HP2 has to be one of the greatest game ever. And the graphics are murdering GT3.
You must be playing NFS3:HP for the PS1. Cause I should pimp slap you for saying such things about one of the greatest games ever made.

The stats say it all. Gt3 cars look incredibly realistic, all you have to do is view a replay to
realise that. Car designs are true to real life cars, and real time reflections add that bit of graphical class that PD have always had.

Darin, whats the point. Your posting this up at a GT3 forum, so you have to expect a big advantage for it.

Come on now!

EDIT- Where is Auto Modelisa?

Grand Prix Legends wins easily.

Thats also for the PC isn't it?

Not PS2. Shame on you daan.

Rollazn, I was hoping some people would intelligently post and say other games besides GT3 have the best car design.

Otherwsie, its a trap to see how many idiots are out there.

Yes, and Im one of the idiots. But seriously, you should have seen this coming. A Gran Turismo forum, and you ask which has the best looking car. Shame on you.

You can see that more than half of the people who voted; voted for GT3.

I have played NFSHP2, for five days. It was pretty fun, but at the time, it wasn't worth the 49.99 price tag. I don't know how much it cost now.

To Me the game is worth every single penny. The game ownz all.

Wow great engine detail, but seriously though can you honestly say that car looks better and more detailed than a Gt 3 render?

The only time the graphics were "murdering" GT3's graphics was in the background or the environment other then that the cars sucked and you can hardly tell you had car damage.
NO I AM PLAY NEED FOR SPEED HOT PURSUIT 2 FOR THE SONY PLAYSTATION 2
Pimp slap me LMAO.

The graphics are quite interesting as there is a certain element of realism, but I didn't like the colours, I just found them to be quite dull and there was a lack of reflections and little extras.
