There are three things I would like to say first:

1. I don't have GT 6. Only the 5th instalement.
2. This will be just a short cummulation of points, that simply show the frustration I feel. I've been looking towards the game, and now have to read some very crucial critics in reviews, that I'll post here.
3. What brings me to the final question: Can you be serious to get this game for 60$ right now?! Or would it be better to wait the said 12 months until the game is fully patched, all dlcs are released and you can buy it for the same sum but really get the FINAL game?

I think I don't have to tell where GT 6 shines. Everyone of us knows that and appreciates the game for it.

What I've read so far is (not sorted by priority and mostly from this site: http://www.4players.de/4players.php/dispbericht/PlayStation3/Test/34746/79696/0/Gran_Turismo_6.html):
- Extremely rubberband AI (whatch video review)
- Whereas you could easily see what cars were premium or standard in GT 5, in 6 you see the difference only when you wait for the car preview
- Online Races only unlocked after a certain Level
- No full damage offline
- Promised Quick Races - not included
- Promised GPS Feature - not included
- Track Editor, existent in GT 5 from the beginning - not included
- First glitches already give you 20 mil bucks for free
- Few cars as prizes
- Bugs like: you are first and suddenly the game will reset you to the last place
- No XP-/Credits-Multiplikator. Obviously due to macrotransactions...

All in all this things don't make me keen on buying the game right now. Especially because officialy already was said, that things will be delivered in feature patches, and it will take 12 months, so far and so on...

So why the hell pay now 60$ for such an unfinished product that even has LESS to offer than gt 5 (track editor e.g.) and promised features will only be available at a later stage...and maybe not even kaz knows when this will be exactly.

What are your opinions?

More tracks and more cars = buy. Having a total blast online with just scratching the surface with what's on the disc.
Very much enjoying what I have so there is no way I would have waited to purchase. Will be nice as more features come into the game down the line to breath new life into it.
To me you have to count the number of days you plan on waiting and then divide that number by the price. You going to wait 3 months to save 40 bucks? To me having it and enjoying it is worth the 50 cents a day.
Saying it has less than 5 because it lacks a track editor is insane with the amount of tracks and cars they added in edition to it just being so much more of a pleasure to play.
Blows 5 away...

Also did anyone actually use the track editor in 5?

Please don't get me wrong. To me it's not simply because of the price. Just the knowledge, that 1 year later you get really EVERYTHING, makes me very sad.

It seems that most games go this way. I learned it exactly 2 years ago with gt 5 when the premium edition was released with all DLC in it!

Maybe I'm too one of those people who expected too much from GT 5. At least like ign said to this time: It's a 10/10 simulation, but only a 5/10 game. And maybe truly...just about time...not about competitive AI. First I played GT5 execively but lost interesst because of the AI. Onlie the waiting times were too long to me. Now as I see what 6 offers, I'm even keener on playing GT 5 again just until 6 gets fully patched, updated, DLCed and released as fresh new hyper edition worth its money

They never said it would take a year to get those things they promised. They just said they would update the game for the year. We might have most the stuff you mentioned within a few months.
And it is coming
