I have seen lots of topics on oil change and engine overhaul/rebuild.

But I can't see any topic answering my main question:

At what mileage/kilometers does any car finally stop decreasing HP?

I guess cars sold in UCD with 390.000km on them, still looses some HP later on.

Keep oil changes and engine overhauls out of this thread please, ty. ♥

Don't know in game. IRL never.

I'v got a NISSAN GT-R R35 SPEC V , it reached 35000 km and now its 861 hp it shoud be 868 , i think in 30000 km the engine start loosing power and no matter what you do the power still the same and maybe later will loose more . ^_^

I'm not sure if this is constant on every car, or if it's actually correct, but once you reach 5000km is where HP starts decreasing at a linear rate. And it will keep decreasing unless you do an engine overhaul. However, I'm not sure when it'll stop decreasing HP after the 5000km mark.

What he means that at what point the car start decreasing hp even with overhaul/oil change the car dont regain hp.

Its good point that MAYBE not every car start decreasing hp at 30000 km

Errr, In real life cars do lose bhp as they aquire more miles.

He meant they never stop, not they never do...

I don't know if they ever stop myself in this game...

It stops somewhere. It could go down to 100 HP and stop there.

Oh. Well, I don't know about that..

Well with added miles it'll always loose bhp, but oil changes will fix that. But the time it takes will decrease over time, and I'm pretty sure a engine rebuild will fix that. :D

If you can't answer the question, don't D:

The answer I can give is that there's probably a set limit to how much each car can drop in a percentile - I say this because cars with 32hp (looking at you Subaru 360) don't seem to lose HP ever, and I have one at only 2000kms or so that has as much as one with 300,000 - so in some way it's scaled by horsepower, the more horsepower a car has the more it's going to permanently lose a larger chunk. What the actual percentile loss is is yet to be discovered.. a solution would be to seek someone with the most mileage on a car and ask what his HP is at that point and if he would kindly monitor if he ever loses more.. and then compare that car to one that has very low kms and is broken in. It seems however that cars will actually still lose HP after 300,000kms - how much though I have no idea.. I haven't got around to driving a car 6000km that already has 300k because they usually have lower HP and it's more of a chore to accomplish distances like that. I would say the area it stops though is probably around 1,000,000kms - because if you drive that much you're probably going to stop playing anyways :P

I have seen these 2 cars for sale with over 380.000km on them, and they should be fast enough to monitor and get some mileage on them:

My X1 has over 230,000 kms now because of grinding purposes, and its HP has stopped dropping since around 200,000 kms. With oil change only it stayed at 1405 HP. With engine rebuild it can go up to 1479 HP. Since the max HP obtainable is 1557 HP, this represents a maximum loss of ~5%. This also explains why cars like the 2CV or Subie 360 never seem to lose power - 5% of 13 HP is not even a loss of 1 HP

I'm not sure if this 5% applies uniformly to all cars, but I bet it does. Then again, PD has the propensity to make weird decisions sometimes, who knows...

Hope that helps 👍

The way I see it it's 2 parabolic curves.. mirrored and never fully hitting "0":
gt5pc1.png

It starts at the "0" odometer reading for the car (unless you have one pre-broken in) then gains HP after oil change and breaking it in.. and then the parabola mirrors (and I don't mean that it goes down another side of a full parabola, it starts at midway of a parabola and travels outwards) never being able to fully reach 0 because it will inevitably trail off until you stop gathering at something like 5,000,000 (it is higher but would ever drive this far?).. imo

Edit: so if you look, at 120,000 you'd have to travel to 55,000 to notice some hp loss - seemingly not losing power the whole time, but eventually it will roll - in theory. Now, find someone who has an X2010 with more than that and compare the HP between one with 60,000 and etc...... you could probably map the parabolic curve.

Also, I think there is actually a shelf in the 200~5000 range where the curves don't mirror and instead just draw a line..... I don't know how it works though but it must exist because there is a short time where the HP will stay constant.

Like an X2010 with 1 HP left?

Not really... you would have to travel like 15,000,000,000,000km, anyone up for the challenge?

But not as dramatic. And a few minor tune ups can almost make the HP the same as the day it was brand new.

That's not true either things like carbon deposits and loosening of tolerances on internal parts can't be cure without a rebuild.

After 13 000 miles, the hp wont be fully recovered no matter what you do.
