The Biggest Idiot EVER

Oh, my, god. I came across this and had to share it. I seriously have never heard of anything so stupid in my life.

http://www.audiforums.com/m_693578/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm

Here is a sample quote.

He wanted to let the engine suck in the sand through the intake so it would port it out and then push it out the ehxaust so it would port the exhaust manifold.

Let us hope this was just a joke.

(Gah, my thread title is messed and it is driving me crazy.)

I don't think it is... he sure is reluctant to admit it.

Porting an engine kind of requires the engine taken out of the car first. It will make it a lot easier. The members on that forum didn't take it badly enough...

Yeah, that was hilarious.

Unfortunately, this is almost as old as All Your Base Are Belong To Us. No offense, Rumple.

It can't be that old seeing as it was posted just six months ago.

(by me, mind you, let's not forget that)

Ah, yes, that must have been before you bored and stroked the engine to 2.8L and did a 3-year chassis refresh.

I just saw on NAM (MINI forum) before logging into GTP, it's pretty funny.

Finally someone realizes I don't have the 4-cylinder exactly when it's not convenient. Poo on you Wolfe.

Since this thread is going nowhere, how's your E30?

It's right there in your signature, lol.

By this point it's making all sorts of creaks and rattles, but the engine is running smoother than ever and all of the important bits still work great. I see no reason why it couldn't last me through the rest of college. It has over 220,000mi now; I don't know the exact number because the tripometer and odometer only work some of the time.

How goes coping with the A4's thirst for fuel? My SVX-owning friend isn't too happy about the price of premium these days.

I think most people don't check the signature - they just think "A4" and associate it with women and thus a small engine. Frankly it's fair enough.

Those cars are awesome. In time they will become the only 3-series to be a true classic. I used to think the E36 was better, but I no longer do. Keep yours in good shape Wolfe, "small" engine though it is! Every so often I see an E30 iX and I go mad. So cool! I never see E30 M3s though :(

Ugh. When I'm home my parents pay for gas so I don't worry about it as much, but it's going to kill me when I go back to school... I paid over $50 to fill up for the second time ever, and I was on fumes the first time. AWD is a killer too. I've honestly considered switching to something more efficient.

The biggest idiot ever is Doug? I knew it!

So did you actually do it or not?

Hey. It's an A4 board and I have an A4, and notoriously very little knowledge of mechanical components... and Keef knows his Hondas but mistook an intercooler for a radiator in another thread...

Maybe I did, maybe I didn't.

"For sale: Audi A4. Good condition, minor engine work needed. Call ________, $1500 or best offer."

I suppose that it is a joke now, if he allegedly did it on an Audi...

Thanks! :)

I've never seen an E30 M3 in person either, except for a couple of Gr.A examples sitting on museum stands.

A decent used motorcycle would offer a fun and fuel-efficient alternative mode of transportation. A well-kept '90s or late '80s bike priced at around $1/cc wouldn't take long to pay for itself.

i used to want an A4 Avant really badly.

But then all your teenage female friends got them and you realized you needed a man's car?

Ah I've seen a few... one every six months maybe? But they're one in a million...
