The Broken Controller Blues

Well, too much GT3 and a lot of abuse has finally taken its toll on my controller. The L2 and X button no longer work :( and I only have half a select button because i bit the other piece off while playing twisted metal. Now i have gone through 3 controllers and i wont be able to buy another one for quite some time :( , I guess no more PS2 for me for a while.

 Well, because of GT3 the 'X' button is almost worn out. You bit off a button?

Yeah, but I think mine's from running thru Liberty City with an Uzi. :)

Why would you guys consider breaking your buttons or controllers even when you are aggravated? Do you not know that it would cost you your money?

I threw a controller at my lil bro once. It hit him in the forehead, but it still works fine. Thats the only abuse any of mine has ever recieved.

yes but if you play a game like stuntman you will WANT to break your controller. I hate that game....

Yep, its true. I threw and old grey vibrating controller while playing stuntman. Didn't vibrate after that, just made loud noise......

from all the Gt3 and GTa 3 action, my left analog stick has a cut around it. Every time i finish playing there is white powder under the stick and on the controller.

My PS2's R1 & R2 buttons would jam constantly, of course a screwdriver fixed that problem for good.:P The buttons are still attached and fuctional.

My controller had not started creating problems until I started Burnout 2. Once in a while when I hit R1 for boost, the game pauses. when I un-pause, I loose my boost. Amazingly, the controller works fine with all the other games.

The R1 and R2 buttons on the controller i use seems to have a habit of sticking. Must be all the shooting i do in GTA3 & VC. :D

A long time ago on 1 of my controllers the L1 and R1 would stick, also my X button stopped working. So I opend it up and fixed it. It worked perfectly until about a month ago when the force feed back started acting wierd, it would only work on certain games (It doesn't work with GTA 3 or VC or with GT3, but I use the steering wheel for that)

I dropped mine and it just kept on vibrating. I took it apart and the pcb that attaches to the analog sticks had a chunk out of it. The controller is now officially dead. I doesn't work at all except the vibrating.

my damaged controller consists of the lead connecting to the controller hanging out exposing all the different coloured wires and the insulation foam stuff aswell (or that could be fluff I ain't sure) this would cause my pad to randomly disconnect unless I wrap the wire round the pad and it keeps getting worse and I have to wrap the wire round the pad a certmain of times now (I think I am on 3 revolutions) also in a fit of wipe out fusion rage I threw my pad across the room bang it on the wall since then my left shock doesn't work or shakes the pad violently while scraping the inside of the controller

Race idiot's pad has bite marks (and he ain't got no pets :D )

i was playing rallycross 2 and i kept fliping my car upsidown in races so i got pissed and pulled on the controller very had.
instaed of the controller cord popping out of the ps2, the wires got pulled out of the controller but yet it was still plugged into the ps2.

I still have my controller from the old PLaystation and that came with the system when I bought it. It still works too! Too bad there's no analog:(
