Sad thing that.

I grabbed a quick lunch at a takeaway restaurant near work, and while I ate reading the paper, the PA played about 6 or 7 of The Clash songs in a row - I think someone was holding a little personal vigil. It was a nice touch.

Ahhh, crap. London Calling was probably the defining album of my mature/modern phase. I'm also fond of some of Strummer's post-Clash work as well.

What was the cause, out of curiosity?

Heart attack, apparently. It was certainly unexpected - he was meant to be touring in February.
