Unfortunately, the Cubs really seemed cursed. At the start of the spring training, their 2 best pitchers, Mark Prior and Kerry Wood, were healthy. Prior went down with an achilles strain. 2 months into the season, we finally get Prior back! Yay! Kerry Wood quickly goes down with a tricep problem, not to mention the 8 or 9 players we already had on the d/l. Prior stays in until the all-star break, but we loose Aramis Rameirez, or third basemen of the future (he's only 27, but is really good) for a bit after a groin strain. Kerry Wood finally comes back on the last day of the first half and leads us to victory after giving up only one run to stop our losing skid at five.

End first half.

First day of the second half, the game openes up with some good news, Rameirez should come back tomorrow (which is today). Plus Mark Prior is looking to start the second half right. After 1 2/3 innings, he goes down with a sore elbow. Summary: As soon as we get Prior back, we lose Wood. Once we get wood back, we loose Prior.

You decide: Are the Cubs really cursed?

Boo hiss. The red sox are 8 games behind the yankees. You tell me who's cursed.

Cubs are 7 games behind the Cardinals. They're both cursed... :(

No one's cursesd. The Yankees and The Cardinals have such a lead because they're the only teams, besides The Giants, that have won 50+ games.
