Super exciting! I'm assuming there are over 900 members online to fawn over the lack of interesting GT5 news that has come out over the last couple days? Like, seriously? There's not even a release date yet.

Whatever, I guess we get to struggle through it for a couple weeks until the game comes out. And then for even longer after it comes out. Super exciting!
 
Yeah, we have 3000 people on checking the cover of the game, the cover for gods sake. We are going to have probably 10000+ on release and if we trod like this, we are :censored:ed for a while.

Jordan, mate, do you think that maybe it would be a wise idea to borrow/ rent/ hire a new temporary server or can it not work like that?

Yep just to confirm. It happened at gtplanet.net and after clicking forums once and going into two topics in the GT5 section aswell twice.
 
Seriously. This GT5, the most important GT game of all time, and I'm confident the traffic will be like nothing we've ever seen from any previous GT game. I'm thinking a call to Google for some server time might be in order.
 
This is an exciting moment for GTP. Especially for Jordan. Hope we beat the record of 7,575 members and guests together back in November 15th, 2007.
 
The talk on the Facebook page is that there are some videos being uploaded with live action GT footage or something. I'm guessing that's what's causing the crashes.
 
I am going to say this is not very fun for Jordan as he cops the blame and he needs to dedicate his time to fixing it...

Wait so why is this happening? It's so frustrating traveling on GTPlanet now, every time I click to go some where, BAM Data Base Error! Ahhh!

It appears that massive amounts of people are joining as well. I am going by the steady increase in the number of active members viewing threads and the "0 Guests" part....
Edit: Or not... Just looked again and there are now over 200 guests :lol:

In fact I just looked to see how many people are here and it's not even showing up. GT5 release is my scheduled GTP break day, people!

Jordan may have turned off the forum statistics function to lighten the load on the servers. He did that several hours ago.
 
I remember once that Jordan restricted the viewing to just members this year. He can do this easily again. I lol'd at the Mod-For-A-Day.. so, when's this week's random banning? :p
 
Pretty exciting to see that amount of poeple joined together for the same thing. I wouldn't be a GTP server at the moment :). I'm not working yet but the first thing I'll do when I earn a bit of money is to get a premium membership! This board deserves help from its community especially Jordan and the mods staff.

Depends on who aggravates me, and since that's practically everyone in the GT section...yeah, expect a tremendously substantial loss of members. :lol:

Everyone was here because they were expecting pictures and videos from someone in our forums who claimed to have a copy of the game. It went viral across many other blogs and forums, and within minutes we had a flash crowd in the forum that the server couldn't handle.

Does anyone know when the most new members were added. I'm guessing today when Jordan had to lock the thread to members only
