God i hope this one isn't old.(probably is) :)

Tony Blair was visiting a primary school. One of the classes was in the middle of a discussion on the meaning of words and the teacher asked the PM if he would like to lead on the meaning of the word 'tragedy'.
So our illustrios leader asked if anyone could give an example of a 'tragedy'.
One little boy's arm shot up. "Sir" he said, "Last week, my friend who lives on a farm had a tractor drive over him and he lost both legs. That would be a tragedy".
"I'm afraid not" said Tony Blair, "That would be an accident".
A little girl raised her arm. "If a bus carrying 50 schoolchildren drove over a cliff and all were killed, that would be a tragedy".
"No" said the Prime Minister, "That is what we would call a great loss"
The room went silent for a while, then from the back in a quiet voice a boy said. " If Mr and Mrs Blair were in an RAF plane and it was blown to smithereens by friendly fire , that would be a tragedy".
"It certainly would" said Blair. "Thats absolutely right and can you tell us why that would be a tragedy?".
"Well" said the boy, "It has to be a tragedy because it certainly wouldn't be a great loss and it probably wouldn't be an accident either".

I got to "Tony Blair" and "primary school" and thought of the title and stopped reading.

It was pretty funny when I first read it though, back when the joke was about Bush. 👍

May be old but I didn't hear it the first time round. Thanks for sharing!

yeah, i liked the one about bush, still its funny, thanks

Ha, I heard that last year about Jean Cretien

This made me titter.

A Bee Gees song. Or a Steps song.
