I feel pretty sure that most fans of the Grand Turismo series of games are also motor racing fans? I am a Formaula 1 fan, but I also enjoy the US Cart series and I can happily sit and watch all forms of motor racing.

What I wonder, just for a bit of fun... is what 'real life' tracks would you like to see in your dream Grand Turismo game? I was chuffed as hell to see Leguna Seca had been included... finally I get to try the Corkscrew!

Okay, for myself... other tracks I would like to see.

Silverstone - UK, I am a Brit afterall, so that has to be a contender.
Brands Hatch - UK
Spa Francochamps - Belgium
Hungaroring - Hungary
Monza - Italy
Hockenheim (not the tame shorter version they have now) - Germany
Road America - USA

Leguna seca was in GT3 (I'm not sure about gt2 or gt1). I'm happy with the selection of tracks that are in it now. Another ice rally course would be nice.

Wrong forum. But I'd liek to see Bathurst in there, The Adelaide Parklands street circuit, and Surfters Paradise, they are my 3 favorite street courses.

I'd say cram as many tracks as possible.

I thing I really like to see/play is real transmission meaning is you choose manual you get 6 speeds if the real car has 1. If auto, you get exactly the same as the real car.

It may be more work, but It would be fun 👍

And also, what about only manual trans for race prep cars? That would be fun too.

But i guess this would turn away casual gamers and polyphony won't do it?

Prove me wrong!!!!! :)

Bathurst - not [just] because I'm patriotic, but because I could seriously see it in Gran Turismo. The GT series can never have enough Trial-Mountain-esque circuits!

(It's a long shot, but do you think it's being considered for GT5? The Aussie cars may be the first step!)

Oran Park, too, so that we have a memento when it closes [sometime soon]! It'd be a nice little drift-style track in the same way that Tsukuba can be!

Ya man, I've been racing Laguna (corkscrew included) in Gran Turismo for years now... got pretty fast at it too, fastest time was ~54 seconds in the F094/S

I really want to see the three main spanish circuits - Montmeló (Barcelona), Cheste (Valencia) and Jerez. I know that's impossible, but...

Kazunori said two years ago that he would put an urban Barcelona's circuit in GT4. Neeeeeeh~~ :yuck:

Bathurst
Spa Francochamps
Aida
Sugo
Mallala
Adelaide Parklands street circuit

I could keep listing

I'd like to see Watkins Glen, both the original course they used on the roads in the 50s and the new GP circuit used in F1 in the until the early '70s (I think)

Pretty much all the current F1 tracks, especially Spa would be nice to see.

Spa
Bathurst

Paul Ricard would be nice as well because of the long straight.

I'd quite like the idea of Long Beach as well.

As an interesting alternative to the 'RIng how about the Isle of Man TT circuit that would be a real challenge. I remember a pretty much stock Rover 827 Si (on slicks I think) doing a circuit of that trying to average 100 mph.

Wow, I never really thought of that! 💡 That would be so cool to run Watkins Glen on the original circuit, through the town, across that skinny little bridge... Now that would be a track!

Other than that, Road America would have been perfect for touring cars in GT4. Actually, I think the ASTC V8s would have a blast around that track...

I think it would have been cool to see some of the OLD F1 tracks, to see what it would have been like to drive through the woods with a skinny little guardrail at 200mph. Plus all those old tracks had such beautiful scenery. Perfect for GT.

Road Atlanta the short and long versions of it I love that track in 24 Hours of LeMans, maybee the Daytona road section it looks fun, and the Phoenix course that looks fun too. Maybee some of the other American road courses (Lime Rock, etc.) also the Melbourne circut, and maybee the Malayasia F1 circuit but I would LOVE TO SEE RED ROCK VALLEY IN THE NEXT ONE!!!!!!

hi guys, im not a gtp virgin anymore "first post"

spa is a must
any racing track is fine by me but im not keen on the made up tracks.
the one i would love to see is the targa florio now that would be something
targa florio

Even though this has been talked about before...here and here...

I'll add my $0.02.. :-)

Even though I'm from the US, I want to see more European tracks...like:

Spa
Donnington
Oulton Park
Rockingham
Silverstone
Mantorp
Zandvoort (spelling?)
Magny Cours
Dijon Prenois
Bathurst
Hockenheimring
Oschersleben
A1 Ring
Catalunya
.
.
.
.
and just to show my love for the US tracks...throw in Watkins Glen & Road Atlanta (mentioned above I beleive) just for kicks!

I think with all the real life, famous courses in the world today, I think Sony/PD should cut down on the fantasy tracks...though I can see how it would be a lot less time consuming modeling a fake track then a real one half-way across the world...but that is just my opinion!

I hope they put Thruxton in future GT games its knowen as the fastest track in England and can test a lot of the car out and its tyres.

Thruxton has fast slow and mid speed corners and some hard and easy corners as well as mid corners.

Laguna has been in since GT2 (never had GT1 so no clue)...the GT4 version is the most realistic in layout.

GT4 has the Nordschleife, Suzuka, Motegi, Tuskuba, Fuji, Le Mans and Monaco...great start...

but I also want;
-Nurburgring GP circuit, plus both the GP and Nordschleife connected like the 24 hour races
-Monza! The current GP and classic banked turn one
-SPA (I think this is very likely for the next GT)
-The old Lemans, 50s/60s version, pre modified infield
-Watkins Glen GP circuit
-Sebring
-The Indy Oval AND GP road course
-Daytona Oval and road course

Took the words right out of my mouth! A true Nurb 24 hour race with both circuits with night and days changes (PS3 can handle that). Monza for its insane speed down to the extremely short first corner. Sebring for its bashing suspension road surface. Daytona of course for us americans and the Rolex 24 hour race. 👍 👍

Laguna Seca appeared in GT2. I remember GT1 had only a few circuits... around 10 of them...

1. Bathurst
2. Zandvoort
3. Monza
4. San Marino
5. Montreal

You know, to be honest, GT4 already has my 2 favorite tracks in it: Laguna Seca and Le Mans. I'm pretty darn happy about that... :)
