That actually looks photoshopped to me. He usually looks in the direction the car is traveling or the direction the wheels are pointing. I'm guessing he snapped a pic with the wheels turned one way, then one with them pointing the other way and just switched the heads. There's no option I know of. Sometimes he does look around randomly if you sit around long enough though.
