All events will be run in accordance with The Sporting Drivers Code.

Caution flag procedures will be used.

To best adhere to the DriverSports philosophy of the sport of competitive simulation racing most events are one car events. This puts driver skill and tuning prowess above all else, which is what differentiates virtual driversports from real world motorsports.

Timed endurance races of 3 hours or more will be run in the aggregate endurance racing format. The race will consist of timed segments of varying length that will add up to the total duration of the event. The initial grid will be based on qualifying, with subsequent segments based on the previous race results. Teams will have their completed laps compiled through all of the segments. The results of the final segment will determine the finishing order between cars with the same lap count. Drivers cannot run more than 4 of 6 hours or more than 14 total hours, requiring teams for anything over 4 hours in length. The time between segments will be referred to as being under 'Orange Flag' conditions (a combination of yellow and red flags). Driver changes will take place during Orange Flag conditions.

Welcome to The DriverSports World Series version of the Sebring 12hr race for the Shelby Daytona Cobra Coupe '64, the winner of the 1964 Sebring 12hr. Our stand-in for Sebring will be Twin Ring Motegi.

Our sim-race will run on Sunday March 22, the day after the real Sebring 12hr, and will run for a total of 3 hours. The race will be segmented in to three 1 hour races to allow for driver changes. Drivers can team up or run the entire 3 hours solo.

General Rules and Regulations:
  • The Sporting Drivers Code is in effect.
  • Caution flag procedure will be used.
  • Rolling start procedures will be used. The first lap will be run at pace speed and drivers will arrange themselves single file in the order announced by the race official. Drivers will maintain pace speed until the leader crosses the start finish line, at which point the race official will call GREEN GREEN GREEN, and all cars may accelerate and pass other cars.
  • A PSN Text Chat will be opened for use as the official race communication channel. This is where hosts will coordinate the start of each race and also where drivers will announce their driver changes.
  • Team members must run identical cars with the same number and colors.
  • When making a driver change drivers must inform the host of who will be driving for the team in the upcoming segment.
  • The first grid will be determined by a 10 minute qualifying session, and subsequent races will be set to the previous race results. Teams who made driver changes should be placed at the rear of the field.
  • Final scoring will be based on total number of laps completed, then the finishing order of the final race.
