With the Daytona 500 now over two-and-a-half weeks away, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing a little racing on the Daytona highbanks with what I'm calling The Duel Before The Duel. Basically, I would like to do this on Wednesday, February 16th on the day before the the Daytona Qualifying races i.e. "The Duel" takes place. basically it'll be 2 75 Lap races plus 1 lap beforehand for a double-file parade lap before the start of each race. Now here's a little twist I would like to throw in for this. The starting grid for the second race will be reverse of the results of Race 1. :D

We'll be racing the NASCAR cars and we prefer the car you're bringing be left unmodded. As for what time we should have this event, shall we all do it in the same part of the day or can we do it at separate times of the day for the other regions of the world?
 
You should revive this real soon Cami so you can generate interest. I know a few people that would definitely race this one.

No, just misread your post. But yes, I am interested. Although, this is an extremely old thread.
 
Yes it is old, but NASCAR will be starting back up in a month and I thought since Cami already had this idea here that people can just roll with it through here. Of course if Cami is still interested he will edit it. It's just a suggestion. Eitherway soon there will be this exact race going on somewhere here on GTP. It would be cool though if Cami ran it.
